With the injections - check the instructions (or the interwebs) to see if you should rub afterwards or not. If I rubbed the menopur it helped, so I did the same with the anti-coagulent injections I had to take after the operations, and apparently that causes massive bruises! I stopped rubbing, and they bruises stopped appearing.0

With the injections, sometimes you'll bruise, sometimes you won't. It all depends on whether you nick a capillary and you've got no way of knowing so it's just stick it in and hope for the best. My tum was always covered in tiny little yellowing bruises of varying ages

As regards where feels easiest, go for the place with most fat. If you've got a very slim waist your thighs might be better. It's also much easier if you pinch a bit of skin and then stick the needle in the bulge."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Thanks guys.
I shall definitely try the rubbing and the pinching. I'm about a size 12-14 with a chubby tummy and thighs, so there's probably not much in it for where's the fattest/best place to inject, lol! No Buying Toiletries Challenge since 23/10/2011
OUTs so far: 111 :j0 -
I did buserlin and menopur in my legs, cetrotide and ovitrelle in my stomach. Personally I much preferred legs but I think that was just because I found the angle easier.
There's definitely more fat to pinch on my thighs, my stomach was pretty flat at the time (although 4 weeks of comfort eating later that has changed).0 -

Part Mouse: huge hugs. It's so hard to get bad news, but there are still options ahead of you and maybe the increase will help. Doesn't make today any easier though.
Lucyloo: It's quite exciting that it's all started now! Do you have an idea of the date for EC and presumably for embryo transfer?
AFM: The surgeon called me back (which is a small miracle in itself) and didn't sound too impressed. He said to re-do the test in a weeks time, and then wait to see if the next period also doesn't show up. So I guess I assume another 27 day cycle started last week. That means I should have AF around the end of the month.
He said the normal things that lots of things can impact your cycle, stress, surgery etc, but as I'm normally like clockwork that sounds slightly dubious to me. But a BFN at CD 36 or whatever I am on is fairly definite. Symptoms have faded away too.
He said I really should be using contraception. I told him our contraception up to this point has been well timed BD'ing when I know I'm ovulating! It's worked without fail so far.
(I didn't say this... I said we didn't think of it, as it was the first time etc) 0 -
p.s. But I will still be testing on Sunday - so leave me on the lists Becca! Nice to be there for once.0
