Oh Lilo, thank you so much for updating us. Well, I'll look on the positive side that, as you say, a line can now be drawn over the IVF route and you can use your energies elsewhere. I'm glad the door wasn't bolted as you are still in the running with the natural route, and think how good that would be!
My CBFM might not have done the trick for me yet, but it does help me sleep a bit easier, knowing my body and the 'right' times so much more than I did.
I'm happy to remind you of your amazing PMA whenever you get the need - you really are a star. Big hug and I'll get cooking - what would you like?! x0 -
Lilo, thank ypou for sharing!!!! I am sorry it is not all the news what you (we) were hoping for. But then - as you say, at least you know where you stand. I admire your consultant for being frank and telling things as it is ("call it a day with IVF").
I agree with MadMac - CBFM is not a way out of all the problems, but it does help to have more confidence in your body in that it is doing as what it is supposed to do. I don't find it hard/distracting/etc to do the test in the morning, and if anything, it helps me to set my mind at rest, if I don't feel like bd some days.
Take care! (And I (and OH) need a strict diet too... I am going to be brave and drag myself to the gym this lunchtime - remind me of that at about 12pm!)Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Thanks for the update lilo.
Sorry it wasn't better news but as has been said at least you know where you stand and can push on with other methods now.
All the best.

Did anyone see this.... http://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/health/article-1228615/Grandmother-sterilised--twice--gives-birth-miracle-baby.html
What a fantastic story and gives us all hope!!!:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Catw0man so sorry to hear your news.
Lilo also sorry to hear your appointment did not go as well as you hoped. I am still waiting for first appt with consultant so don't know what lies ahead for me but also hoping that I will fall naturally with help of improved diet /losing weight and cbfm. My only problem with cbfm was this was 1st month and got 3 highs then to super highs then another high. Dh said if need to keep that amount up he will be 7 stones in 6 months.
My Af is due today so I will be down in the dumps again shortly.Yearly Grocery Budget - £100.77/ £3500. January Treats Budget - £11.80 / £100.0 -
Thanks peeps, I am okay about it - disappointed obviously - but onwards and upwards. If I did IVF and they pierced my uterus, I would be finished totally, so would prefer not to take that risk.
I shall, however, be researching all I can about maximising my fertility, so be prepared for some wierd and wacky ideas!
hamish, my DH would be in heaven if he gets that result with CBFM. And Im not one to put him off .........................
Hope AF stays away - try the white pants trick! If not, onwards and upwards to the next month!
OOOHHHHH Madmac, something with choc chips would be nice, Ill put the kettle on!

Lilo Sorry to hear about your appointment but keep up the PMA....it's the not knowing and constantly waiting that I find so frustrating. Like others have said you have a definite response on that avenue so can continue down the natural route.
Have you read Marilyn Grenvilles book ' Get pregnant faster' - she has some quite good if not maybe a bit intense advise about eating and supplements - could be worth a loan from the library.
Very interesting to read your experience as obviously I might encounter the same problem but I'm still waiting to have my tests done under anaesthtic.
My blood results came back to show hadn't ov'ed at that point in time but is was CD 20, and I think this might be a longer cycle this month.
I have got a Persona that I used about 2 years ago (and it never showed that I had ov'ed) but I am going to start using it again next cycle so at least I can feel like I am doing something positive.
Also made an appointment with the counsellor from our fertility unit because I am just a bag of emotions and can't stop crying - it's getting quiet embarrassing!
Hubby sent me some lovely flowers to work yesterday cos I was feeling low when I spoke to him Monday night (he is in brussels with work til tonight)
Baby dust and glue to everyone.

I did it!!!! I dragged myself to the gym and re-started "Couch to 5km" running program. I am happy with myself, as I managed to do week 1 and a bit more and don't have the headache that I used to get before. I think I need to promise to myself, that if I am working from home, I have to go to the gym at some point during the day. Especially when on Clomid!!!!
hamish - get your white pants out, maybe this is the secret trick? (I hope Leopardlady is doing ok, she mentioned on the graduates thread about a bit of spotting yesterday...)Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Hey all
Sorry the appointment didnt go well lilo but like you said atleast theres still a chance
Ginvtz well done how did you manage to get the motivation? I always find an excuse not to and cant find one to do it
I had my appointment today it was reasonable, except they insisted on stealing my blood again! and I have been refered on for a hycosy thingmy so Im trying to read all I can about that before hand. The appointment she offered me was the 20th of Feb but Im getting married on 26th so didnt want to have it that close but shes going to call me back with another one in a few days... and surprisingly enough for a gynae department I only had to remove my jacket for the bloods he never even wanted to see my bits! all that worrying for nothing
Hope everyone else is well0 -

I called OH today at work and he said that if I don't go throughout the day, we will go later together. So, I thought I'll go on my own... (Selfish, I know!)
I had hycosy - and it was not that bad. I did have some cramping for a day or two afterwards, but nothing ibuprofen/paracetamol/aspirin wouldn't sort. Anyway, I hope you will get a better appointment, as I wouldn't want it that close to my wedding either!!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0
