  • Stay away from Beneficial claims, they have ripped me off for alot of money and made my debts worse not better, now I'm fighting with them to get my money back which they claimed was refundable should they be unsuccessful which they were.

Now they are trying to get out of giving me it back.
Beneficial Claims / We Fight Any Claim / Money Worries / Yes Loans are all the same Scam company.
Do not do business with any of them!!

DO NOT USE THEM AND DONT PAY ANY MONEY TO THEM

We find ourselves in the unfortunate position of being owed nearly 3k that they have taken to reclaim PPI insurance - even though we don't have it!!! They initially took £750 for claiming back from 3 companies and by the time I'd got back from work, hubby had authroised a further 2k to take it to the next level, even though we hadn't actually given them any concrete figures.

I rang and asked for the money back under the Distance Selling Act when we got the paperwork through. They told me that I had to give a reason for not claiming. I said we don't want to continue the claim because we have 14 days to cancel. They refused to refund becuase we didn't give a reason.

Thankfully (I think) the money was done on the credit card who are taking up the issue with us.

Go legal, you have a contract and so can enforce it.

After repeated efforts to recover nearly £3k and being promised a payment by CHAPS (clears instantly into your account) which never arrived, I have used Money Claim on line, HM Courts Service on line version of the "small claims" court to try to get my fees returned. Google Money Claim to get the address.

The cost was £80 but, if I win, I get to recover this plus any interest and will endeavour to place a winding up order on these people as well, simply to stop then doing this to other people.

If you do take this route make sure that you name both Beneficial Claims Limited and We Fight Any Claim Limited to avoid the case being thrown out on a technicality. (See below).

Also, take a look at Companies House web site, they (Beneficial Claims Limited) changed name to We Fight any Claim Limited recently and have claimed exemption from filing returns as a "small business". My feeling is that all those owed money should be using Money Claim to recover their debt quickly, you never know when a company may "run into financial difficulties"...

I want to do all that I can to bring them down as well. They have promised me that I will receive my refund in 30 working days but the from date has varied each time I call them and they refuse to send me a letter of confirmation of the refund and date from (which should be from 27/7/2010 when they received my letter)

This is a disgusting company, a terrible scam used on the desperate who reached out for their help and fell for all their high pressured and fast talking sales techniques.

They have gotten me into so much more debt all the while they were taking money from me and now they are trying to force me into a Debt management programe of yet another company they own which is called Money Worries.

I spent many hours on the phone to them which is only costing me more, demanding my money back. They have stopped trying to get me into their Money Worries programe and say my refund is on its way but why refuse to send a letter to confirm this ?

I wonder how many other names they are using as well.

I hope more and more people come forward with this and we all join together in reporting this company to the right place.

Oh and one thing of interest, they were in the News Paper last week -

Update on our case - one credit card has refunded our money, the other has stopped the interest payments on the big payment of £2100 while they investigate.

Luckily, I had the email address of the person dealing with our claim at Beneficial Claims. I bombarded him with emails and eventually he rang (although he denied ever receiving my emails, so I emailed them again while he was on the phone. He said that someone would write to confirm the refund, but surprise surprise we're still waiting for that letter. However, I asked him to confirm by email, whilst I was on the phone, that he was cancelling the claim and refunding the money which he did. So I have evidence .... I think I'm the lucky ones

Beneficial claims always say their calls are recorded so I have been keeping a note of the time and date of when I call and also the name of the Adviser should I remember it.

I couldn't believe it when I called them today and they said only the 'Refund Department' can send me a letter of confirmation but they don't take calls !

Funny how they told you that you will get a letter though ? when they told me that they don't do letters and only a department with no phone can !!

    UPDATE....

I lodged my claim with Moneyclaim Online on Friday and faxed a copy to Beneficial Claims Company Secretary. The following Monday there was a Visa payment into my current account and my fees were returned. I also received a phone call later that day checking that the refund had been received. I contacted the Court and withdrew my claim and advised Beneficial. This cost me £80 but, in view of the amount owed I think it was money well spent if it "encouraged" Beneficial to act. Good luck everyone, hope this helps.

I'm not being facetious but considering that I've already been conned in the past, how do I know that its a real way of getting help by paying 'Money Claim' £80 ?

I am eager to do anything that will help me get my money back and punish Beneficial Claims but I'm not too keen on parting with my hard earned cash once again after being conned by Beneficial Claims for thousands.

It could just be another waste of money...
