PMA not doing too bad at the mo; spoke to a very old friend yesterday and she confessed that she is also TTC. She already has one child, aged six now, that took 3 years to conceive which kind of puts my measly 5 months into perspective. Anyway, we've agreed to be TTC buddies in RL!

Hi Ellie,
still very tearful. Af hasn't arrived yet so that's something positive. my max lp before has been 12 days with spotting on 11. So 11dpo and no spotting so I guess I should at least see that as a move in the right direction . I have spent most the day fighting back tears and as a consequence now look like I'm half dead! I don't know why I feel so low but I think it's just hitting me that it's been so long, up until now I've been making excuses saying well first 12 months no af and no ov'ing so no possibility, then next 6 months levels weren't low enough etc etc. But now I just think it should have happened by now so therefore it's not going to. I know there's a lot of us feeling like this at the mo and it's no coincidence that it's us oldtimers more than others I guess. I normally give myself a good talking to and snap out of it and I'm sure once af actually does arrive then pma will be back. At least I hope so.

becs: Don't know what to suggest unfortunatel; wish a had a mahooosive magic wand a'la Dumbledore and could make things better. My friend (in RL) has a problem whereby one of her fallopian tubes is damaged beyond repair, she has endometrius and some months she OV's but doesn't actually release an egg and other months she sometimes doesn't OV at all. Her OH also has a low sperm count but..they still managed to conceive naturally. What I'm trying to say/write is that sometimes against all odds 'it' happens!
I'm a bit of a control freak so I would be tempted to go to my doc's and ask for further blood tests in order to ascertain if, and what, the problem is. I know you had a tumour but I was under the impression that it shouldn't affect TTC; is that right?????

thanks Ellie, I know about against all odds, although it's usually me saying that to eveyone else! :rolleyes:
The tumour produces prolactin (the hormone produced in pregnancy) so if it produces too much my body thinks it is pg already. I have daily medication to counteract the prolactin but the levels have been getting higher and last time were only just under normal (anything up to 500 is normal mine were 492, they went down to 62 when I first started meds), I will have another blood test next month to check them again and I just know they'll be too high again. I have had blood tests to check ov and progesterone and both were ok. I know I'll be ok again in a few days, I always find it worse just before af for some reason. Once it arrives it's like a fresh start for next month so I can move on. Blimey didn't mean for that to be a ramble on the biology of a pituitary tumour!

Morning all, I POAS this morning (one of my tesco BOGOF clearblues) And it was bfn, but no control line appeared either. Bah! The one time I get to POAS and the test is pants! I'm a bit sad it was bfn (because I also agree with it, my hurty boobs have stopped) but I'm more p*ssed off it's invalid!! Not very MSE!

Anyway, will wait for AF now, am still only 12DPO today (which is 2 more than of late, so I'm still pleased :j) So keep me on the list please confuzzled until I see AF...

In other news had a lovely time with my pg mate last night, got to feel her bump when she had a braxton hicks - wow it went totally rock hard! Bless her, she's really making an effort to include me now we've got over our weird patch. And I got to coo over all the dinky clothes and freak out at the size of the maternity pads... :eek: She's very much of the opinion that when its my turn I won't get any err, lets say "surprises", so she's been *extremely* frank with me which is very cool but also a bit :eek:

Onwards and upwards ladies, got to go to work today (boo to working weekends ) but I get to go try on snowboarding boots this morning as compensation (not very :money: but sod it!!)

Just a quickie today (story of my life:p).

CD 14 for me today...bang in the middle of my supposed fertile zone, so fingers crossed.

Been working lots, blitzing the house and trying to get the garden organized for winter.
