Trying For a Baby III

  • Hi everyone - thanks for all your words of support and encouragement, and the reading material! I haven't spoken to my own GP yet, just to the doctor at the hospital after my most recent scan (to confirm that nothing had grown since a scan two weeks earlier - how can two weeks take sooooo long?). They don't seem to offer medication at this particular hospital for some reason. Not sure why, as this would seem to be a good way of at least having some control over when the actual MC happens. Ho hum.

Anyway, I think I'll take winnie's advice of talking to my GP, as she was very sympathetic last time, and see what she says. But, as becs pointed out, I know that MCs are far more frequent than a lot of people think, as they're not often talked about, so I'm determined not to lose heart at this stage. Positive thinking! Onwards and upwards...

Lildevil - you need to time your smear for mid-cycle, which for me usually means about four months of getting to mid-cycle and thinking "doh - forgot to book it again...!"

Thanks again, and good luck to everyone...

Ah Astro, good for you on the positive attitude! It can be the most painful experience going through trying and you've certainly had your fair share so here's hoping you'll get some answers and a sticky bean soon!

Hi Ethelsmum, hello again. I'll wish you good luck for a BFP before xmas! Can I have mine too before then as it'll mean I won't have to ahve december's MRI scan! God I hate those things! :rotfl:

Ellie, I've been doing the business for teh past year but only word of mouth. I did do a charity fayre last year for which we did the website for. A very very quick attempt to just get something online so it desperately needs to be redone. My new toys arrived yesterday so now have to make up some samples and get pictures taken so we can re do the website.

Morning everyone. I'm off work today, still dizzy as anything although no more blackouts as yet. Nothing to report other than that except that I am so happy I've taken the plunge and come off the pill again. We're officially ttc again rather than bding without contraception (there was a difference, honest). I can once again laugh at baby clothes (saw an amazing brown fluffy bodysuit thing for a newborn with bear ears - soooo funny!) and gush over babies on the telly without feeling like I should be strong and look the other way. The way I look at it now is the very worst thing that can happen is AF turning up on my wedding day - this means the first day of my marriage would be CD1 - pretty ace if you ask me! :T
    Updating soon...
  • Hi All,

My fertility monitor arrived yesterday, read all the instruction just need to wait to CD1 to use it.

In Boots they are £99.99 the sticks extra, I got mine brand new of Ebay with 2 sticks for just under £40.00. But my lovely husband said he did not care if it cost £200 if its going to help us have our baby....ahhh he is so lovely.

    xx

    Hi Lildevil,

I've just had my smear done and the leaflet that came through said not to have it done if pregnant. They want you to book in mid cycle so should be before ov.

Thank you both for the info, the problem I have is that I have no idea how long my cycle is likely to be as this will be the first since the mc and I haven't had any obvious ov signs yet (used to get pains on either side - last time I had those was a couple of days after D&C). I'm only assuming it will go back to my normal 28/29 days, but have no idea if this will be the case in reality :o

I have been getting af type aches in my abdomen and random sharp pains, so perhaps the old witch is on her way earlier than I thought
  • Hi Everyone :hello:

Back from my hols which was lovely. Not had chance to read back through everything so sorry for just jumping in.

Been feeling a bit down lately not with our TTC but more with other peoples expectations. Getting fed up of the tummy watch and weight comments with "anything to tell us" attached if i look like ive put on a pound! Some people are so inconsiderate.

Been really good telling people when they ask are we trying that we are just enjoying being newly wed - not a fan of telling everyone everything about our PRIVATE life.

Anyway me and hubby just bding when we want (tends to be everyother day though if we have the energy) and not taking it too seriously.

Sorry for the moan, feeling a lot better now though.

AF due this week so fingers crossed for testing early next week if she stays away

Sticky baby dust to all xxxxxxxx

Moan away, most of us know the feeling:rolleyes: It's one of the reasons we chose not to tell anyone we were ttc, although our close friends know now but thats coz they're ttc too:D
When are you likely to test? I can put you on the list if you like?!?

I've just gone back and worked out that we've been ttc for 7 months:eek:, Oct 2nd will be the 8th month:eek::eek: Thank goodness I've got you lot to keep me sane(ish;)) xxxxx

    Hi everyone
Sorry not read back and so this might have been answered already but cant see anything when ive googled but how soon realistically can you expect to have some symptoms of being pregnant ie feeling sick/nausea, constantly tired and just not normal? ie before taking a test time frame??
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together
