  • First of all can I say WOW I avoid the thead for 1 weekend and all hell breaks out:eek: Although gotta say as a hormonal woman desperate too conceive I agree with the regular posters here! However if I'm objective, I can also see the point of the non-regular/1st time posters....either way we're all entitled to our opinions and can I say some of you put your point across rather eloquently(is that the right word?!) whereas I'd have made a complete hash of it and probably ended up insulting friends and foes alike:rotfl::rotfl:

Anyways can't remember a great deal of what else has been said:o Ummm..........Oh the 'Chuff' saga - I should've known it was the foul-mouthed bitzer who posted it 1st:p But gotta say I've never heard it outside of the NW either and deffo not in East Mids, hence the reason DH was rather disgusted(he likes to think I have feminine names for body parts:rolleyes::D) an here they call bread-rolls/baps/batched/muffins etc 'Cobs' Whats that all about eh?

Oh and Bitzer thanks for updating the list in my absence:)

Astro - so sorry to hear what you've gone through:( I can't really helpyou either but hopefully you'll stick around here or post on ttc 12+ board, either way I'm sure we'll all try out best to help and support you and theres always someone here to have a whinge and vent your frustrations at;):)

kenco - I did pm her and stil haven't heard anything back, did anyone manage to add her on FB or anything?? I really hope her absence is due to the shock of having 2 bubs and also being too tired to do absolutely anything:) Or even better, having family fussing over her left right and centre:)

Nothing to report here, cd something or other and ssing like mad and getting carried away before giving myself a stern talking to and telling myself to get real:o:rolleyes: Had loads of aches and twinges etc etc but not paying any attention to them(if you believe that, you'll believe anything!:p) and just waiting for Oct for AF to rear her ugly head!
Ooo not bad seeing as I had nothing to report:rolleyes::D

((((HUGS)))) to those that need them, congrats to everyone who has been luky enough to 'graduate', fingers crossed for those in the 2ww and any other good wishes you may need:D:D:D

Morning all. Still bleeding so pretty sure it is AF. Tried to call NHSdirect last night to discuss the generally rubbish feeling and the fainting episode; they said they'd get someone to call back with 10 hours, yes TEN hours  so I said (politely) don't bother, I'll just get an early night instead.

Anyway, back to school this morning, felt okay lesson 1 then very nearly blacked out again lesson 2 in front of my very worried year 7s. School sent me home but I fainted again in the car park in front of the head teacher and quite a few kids who were on their morning break. Just called the dr and have got an appt at 11.50. Luckily H2B has a few days off work so he's around to look after me.

    So, watch this space...

  • Astro - huge hugs honey :grouphug: I'm so sorry that you've been through so much and I hope you get a proper sticky one soon. I don't have any experience so share but can't imagine how hard that must have been to go through (and probably still is all told). Maybe if you can face it, see if you can see a different doctor, some are more "by the book" than others though to be fair as winnie says, your age is a factor for early referral under NICE guidleines.Lurk if you want, chat if you want, vent if you want. This ttc thing is certainly a rollercoaster as someone said recently.

confuzzled - foul-mouthed?! Moi?! What with that and ellie calling me immoral, a girl could get a complex you know ;)

courgette - how did your appt go? I'm worried hon, that doesn't sound right at all

Well as for me, I've come back from the GP about my hypertrophic scar on my finger (which they can do nowt for but thats fine), I also picked her brains about ttc and I feel *so* much better :o.
I do know that trying for 7 months is not a long time, and that statistics bear in my favour. But she reassured me that, given my medical history, she would want to raise these issues too if she were in my position. And she said while she's sure that I'll get pg naturally, I'm also ticking the right boxes for an early referral should we still be having problems after a year. So, I'm having bloods for serum-progesterone and a chlamydia swab next week (should be day 21 prog blood, but given my 26 day cycle its day 19 blood ) just so they're done and to check they come back fine.

To tell the truth I was kinda dreading it, thinking I'd be told to "just relax, chuck out your tests and it will happen" and while she said she was officially supposed to tell me to do the above, she would be using a kit as she's a need-to-know-geek just like me  I thought I'd be sent off packing for being a foolish youngster and she was lovely :D Just a shame I felt compelled to come back into work

much love and stickybabydust ladies, we need some BFPs on here, if only to get becsbabycakes famous nationwide....;)
Never argue with an idiot, he just brings you down to his level and beats you with experience.
  • So glad to hear things went well Bitzer - makes all the difference when you get a nice, sympathetic GP doesn't it.
  • cripes courgette! thats scary, i hope the dr's have sorted you out so that you are fighting fit again.
I think ive decided against using ovulation testing kits, one because i work shifts and i dont think it can be accurate using different times of day, two because im still trying not to let this ttc take over my life every passing second and three to save some pennies

    Oh yeah, for sure!

How's your MS honey? My mate swore by those ginger thins you can get from Ikea/healthfood shops to nibble on all day, and not letting herself get hungry as a way to stave off the sickness. Feeing sick is pretty miserable, but at least you know its caused by a lickle bean not just a tummy bug :D

    Sorry about that :o

Doc did loads of tests and could find no reason for the blacking out other than just being a bit run down. He was lovely and said to come back in a few days if things haven't settled down. Anyway, as I was leaving the surgery I fainted yet a-bl00dy-gain . At least I was in the right place though, it also gave him a good chance to check me over post-swoon (again, no idea why though).

I'm gonna take the next few days off work and just see how things go. I've really hurt my knee too as I landed on it both times I fainted today.

And here's my quick moan: yes I know that as a teacher we get a lot of holidays, but it really peeeees me off that we still have to plan lessons when we're off sick! My Head of Dept can be a bit of a dragon too especially when it comes to time off work so I tend to find being off as stressful as just going in sometimes

Thanks for being so welcoming on this thread, I'm really looking forward to sharing the journey with like-minded souls :A

Is it bad that I found that funny?!?!:o:confused: after checking to make sure you were okay af course:p
At least the Dr doesn't think it's anything too serious:) Try and make the most of having time off and put your feet up, also for fainting episodes it's always good to have choccy on hand;) It'll help blood sugar levels and it's also a great comfort when you realise how bruised your knees are:rotfl:
I had episodes like that when I was younger, although turned out it was a combo of doing too much/not eating enough/general teenage hormones:rolleyes:

Bitzer - Yay for lovely doc:T Must be a great relief to hear it from a professional IYKWIM:D:D Mine proper Dr isn't bothered so I always ask for the woman dr whos also ttc;) She understands a lot more than a 50yr old bloke does:rotfl::rotfl:

Suzy - I've avoided the sticks(so far) for the same reason, not the shift working the not letting ttc take over;) I'm an obsessive person anyway, and I don't think my nerves could handle the OV obsessions AND the ss obsession:rolleyes::o:rotfl:

I'm bored today:( and also on cd 28 and I have cm:confused: it's more watery today but yesterday was like EWCM so I'm mega confused this month...ah well we've bd'd a fair bit this month so fingers crossed:)
