  • Hi Ladies

Hope you all had a nice weekend, I did apart from AF arriving today which makes my cycle 31 days (I assume you count from first day as AF?). Bought FR tests and did one before drinking as was obviously BFN but least have 3 left (good mse!)

Was thinking of getting some opks and noticed FR are on BOGOF so are superdrug ones anyone used these before - which if any would you recommend?

  • Ebay cheapies work fine for OPKs - I've used this seller a couple of times now

  • Hello everyone: it's been a while since I've posted. I've had swine flu which knocked me for six and then to finish me off some charming bast**d(s) decided to kick in my back door in an attempt to break in:mad:. Luckily, nothing was taken although they did eventually gain entry and they didn't trash the place. I wasn't there and the house is currently being sold so the sold sign was probably a bit of an invitation to them. It was a big shock (anyone who has experienced it will know exactly what I mean). I'm heavily insured thank goodness so new doors getting fitted soon courtesy of the insurance company. I've lived there for 20 years and we've never had any problems and it's quite a 'good' area so am hoping it's just a one off chancer trying his luck and being hugely disappointed.
On the TTC front I'm not sure if I'm in the running for October but I'm on the list so we'll see how it goes; I have heard that the minute you stop 'trying' you're more likely to conceive so hopefully we may have hit the jackpot as I've certainly had other things on my mind this month!
To becs: I 100% support you; there is definately a time and a place and this forum is not it. I don't think any malice was intended by the OP however a bit of common sense could have been applied; it's hardly rocket science is it!
I must admit that I do feel a bit guilty sometimes as I've one of the newbies (I've only been here for about 4 months) and I do fervently wish that one of the oldies would get that elusive BFP before me.
fingers and everything crossed for all those waiting.

  • P.S. I think it was confuzzled who asked me if I was near Manchester as I had quoted the word 'chuff'. I was actually quoting bitzer although I do live quite near Mancehester and have also never heard that expression anywhere outside the NW!.
  • Sir monster: I'm using the superdrugs OV kits as they were on BOGOF and they seem to do the trick in the sense that they're easy to use and I have got postives from one. (not the BFP that I want though unfortunately but that's another story).
  • I tried to hunt down kenco a while ago.... it would be great to hear from you if you're out there :)
  • whoa, how many pages of going backwards and forwards! Congratulations to all those that have recevied a BFP, i hope you all have a happy and healthy pregnancy.

I think my last post got lost in the debate. So i'll re post:

Has anyone used Ovulation sticks whilst working shifts? i take it you have to use them every morning when you wake? With shifts i dont get a 7am start every day! sometimes i dont go to bed until 7am LOL! so just wondering if it is worth using them?

Don't use OV sticks in the morning Suzy.... they're not like HPT's.

It's best to use them in the afternoon :)

Good luck with them... I've stopped using them.
