    Morning ladies,

    Good luck Gena!

I went to docs last night after your advice....she thinks I have had a ruptured cyst. Still some pain now but getting better slowly.
Had a swab test and got to wait a week for the result. (was horrid as im on my period). She was worried it was an ectopic pregnancy but did a pt and it was negative....although she did say do another in 2 days to double check, but she has pretty much ruled it out!
If the cyst result comes back pos she wants me to have an ultrasound to check for big cysts, then if they are any i'd have to have them removed and checked for cancer. (worst case).
Due to the pain ive had its either a ruptured one which will eventually disappear, or a problem one...time will tell.

I had an abnormal smear a few months ago so she is concerned about poss cysts problems. Booked a smear for a couple of weeks time too.

On another note, I talked to her about ttc and she recommened abstaining from bd'ing for 3-5 days before ov to allow OH's sperm to build up, as when they request samples to check fertility they always ask men to abstain for 3-5 days to get sperm count as high as poss.
Im confused now....did anyone see the morning programme with that doctor who's always on a few months back?...he said its best to bd every day in the week of ovulation as sperm need to be fresh. Quantity may be lower but the quality will be better as they are fresher! I dont know who to believe now?!?!

Well doing it often doesnt seem to be working for me so I think I will try having a few days off before ov, then bd on day before and day of ov....does that sound sensible?

  • Good morning everyone....

Lots of new names on here, havent been around much lately as i was waiting for various app's to help diagnose my infrequent / absent periods...

Well i had an US scan last night and it seems i have polysistic ovaries :(
Completely devastated, stil hoped it was just my pill sortin itself out but i guess now its not, just doin a bit of research on pcos as completely new ball game for me.
My heart is broken and im sure it could be worse but to me its somethin i didnt want and although their is treatment their is no cure!

My consultant app is not till nov 2nd which is ages away now so tryin to get a cancellation ....

I may jump threads now just for perhaps some more help and advice, but wil stil lurk around.

Hope ur ok moneyangel (((hugs))) my DH has low sperm and they suggested waitin few days to get a good build up!!!

  • Oh i am saddened to hear about some of your problems, i have a friend with polycystic overies, she has had since about 14 and used to be in and out of hospital but she does have two beautiful babies now so don't feel too down.

I know it's not much help to all but may help a few...cut out the caffiene, i mean completely! This is the first full month i have gone without and made OH go without too and i may just be preg now (please please please). But i did give up my daily tea drinking (i read it can lower your fertility drastically and i was drinking at least 3 cups a day, yikes) instead i am drinking non-caffiene fruit teas. I have also knocked the cola drinking on the head too (well as much as i can :P ). But its all good and well to cut it out yourself but i really think you need to get your OH's doing the same. I must admit i was kind of blase( sp) about when and how we bd'd this month - i just kind of went with the stride which i think makes a difference - I know it's so tough to do in practise though as i was always praying my period wouldn't come, then feeling down when it always did. I don't know what changed this month but i had forgotten all about my period, and just realised last night i was 4 days over.

As for my 4 faint lines, they weren't immediate but they did show up within just a few minutes. The thing is if we did concieve i know exactly when and it was just about 14 days ago so really really early. I am 5 days overdue now - still no sign of coming on. I am thinking they might be positive as i have always had deffinate negs before, never one like this let alone 4. I did three of the NHS style sticks (which is why i was dubious as they are not as easy to tell or maybe it's just me that i don't trust them as much because i bought the pack on Ebay, lol) and then one where there are seperate ovals and if there a line you are. I know i sound a bit thick while i'm explaining it - just very dubious myself as i don't want to get upset. I am going to give it another day or so and do a digital one that spells it out - i think thats what i need right now.

Anyway sticky baby dust to all! x x x

  • Nothing to report here. Bding when we want - trying not to concentrate and obsess so just carrying on as normal, having fun and keeping my fingers crossed. On hols next week so looking forward to that.

My gorgeous ellie belle fingers crossed for you xxxx

Sticky baby dust to all xx
  • Thank u my gorgeous elle belle, it is a positive sign that women with psoc do conceive, i just think its hard enough for normal cycled people let alone without having conditions that hinder that...

However im sure in a few days it wil have sunk in and il be bit more positive!

    Fingers crossed for u x

  • hi all,

Not sure I could cut out the caffeine - I do love my first morning coffee.

I agree with Smartie and the others in that I bd whenever me and OH fancy it, regardless of OV. A few months back I had a strict schedule of when to bd and what to eat etc. But ended up totally stressing myself and OH out. So now, I just go with the flow. (though I do try and make sure we bd a little more often around OV - shush dont tell OH)
  • Hi All

Ok if I join your thread please? We are currently trying for a baby (a month in). I have a gorgeous 2 year old already and hoping to give her a little sis or bro some time next year. Who knows what fate will bring but I'd love to share my journey with you and yours with me. These forums have been an inspiration to me on so many levels that anything I do in my life there's something on MSE for it - this one is perfect!!!
