I'm going to friend's later for baby cuddles and I get to push the pram today!:D I've got work to do for tomorrow so not sure when I'm going to fit that in.... ooooops!

money - you didn't do anything wrong, your chart looks fine. These things just take time, hell if they didn't, why would we have the ttc 12+ months board?!
What you need to do (but won't want to hear) is find something else to enjoy in your life, and let ttc be an accompaniment to your life not the main thing. Its really really hard to do, believe me, but obsessively SSing and stuff every month really doesn't help at all, it just sets you up for a fall when AF arrives.
I found this which explains the odds and it all just means you have to keep trying and it will happen eventually. You can increase your chances but you can't *make* it happen. Even IVF can fail, and there you have taken out the "risk" of not catching the egg as they use frozen embryos, it just shows that even with all that risk removed the embryo/body can't be forced into making a pregnancy.
Chance of Conceiving in Any One Month, by Age:
Early 20s: Up to 25 percent conceive
Late 20s and early 30s: Up to 15 percent conceive
Late 30s: Up to 10 percent conceive
Your Chance of Conception
If you are in your late 20s and early 30's and are having sex without birth control two to three times a week:
60 percent will conceive in six months
75 percent will conceive in nine months
80 percent will conceive in twelve months
90 percent will conceive in eighteen monthsNever argue with an idiot, he just brings you down to his level and beats you with experience.0 -
Thanks Bitzer, I will try.
Can you tell me if my temps are supposed to stay high after ov? or is that just if you are pg?
I thought they stay high (because of the progesterone increase), then drop down just before AF. Mine seem to be up and down a lot.
The weird thing is last Fri when my temp was at its highest I felt a hormone rush for most of that day, then it started to zig zag again. As my temp wont stay high do you think I am progesterone deficient?
Thanks :-)0 -
Your temps go high after ov as you have a rise in progesterone caused by the corpus luteum. They stay high for most of your 2ww and then dip just before, at or just after AF starts (I've had mine do all 3!)
Your temp dips during the 2ww can be caused by lots of things other than implantation (inaccurate reading on thermometer, having the window open all night, wearing different bedclothes, basically anything!) And some women who get pg don't have an implantation dip. You can't really read anything into a single temperature unfortunately! If only!
Here's my charts if you want to have a look and see how my temp fluctuates. Your temp rise won't look as high as mine as yours is in Celsius (though you can click the link below the chart to see it in Fahrenheit).
You have a 12-day LP which is good so I doubt you have a progesterone deficiency from looking at that. And yes, your temp does fluctuate a lot, but if those open circles are readings from "sleep deprived" nights then its bound to fluctuate. Temping's soooo sensitive, even an extra hour (or one fewer hour) can put it out. Thats why its the pattern thats important, not the individual reading.

Just popping in to give my 2p worth wrt charting (which I did when TTC). Temp stays high after OV due to progesterone, so yes, but it only has to stay above the coverline, irrelevant of zig zagging and sometimes women can see a drop at implantation etc so can vary. When you get pg the temp will stay above the coverline and can increase and you may see a triphasic chart (I did not and also didn't see implantation dip). Also I had my temp stay above the coverline after my AF started and didn't come down till a few days after, which I though was mean and confusing, but it happens.
With regards to BDing, you may have already read that it isn't best for swimmer quality to do it every day, every second day is suggested as better, but coming up to OV I know that we did it two days in a row then a day off then the next 2 days in a row and I Ov'd the day after that when I got pg in Feb this year after a blighted ovum and ERPC last Oct (wasn't using Ov tests as too fiddly, but did check CM and position).
For anyone else in same position wrt having had a ERPC/D&C, the first cycle after mine (which was done at 8 weeks) for me was annovulatory (I kept charting) and it took about 6 weeks for my hormone level to fall low enough for Ov to occur (the pg hormone was up over 16000 for me so took a while), but 4th cycle after operation I caught again so took longer than I would have liked but it happened!
If not already suggested get yourself a copy of "taking charge of your fertility" by Toni Weschler, is like a big textbook, but very helpful (well I found it helpful).
Anyhoo sorry for long post, thought I'd poke me nose in0 -
Ooo this temping stuff sounds mucho confusing.....glad I didn't even start it!!
Anyhoo just bored now and have just realised I'm an idiot, I've been so busy today that I've just realised that I forgot to go and get the newspapers for the head honcho(yup I'm a skivvy!), only realised coz I just made a brew and we're nearly out of milk:rolleyes: Whoops!
Now gotta get to the shop and back before he realises...why is it always the simple stuff I forget
If he'd asked me to do a report on the amount SHLAAs we've had in the East Midlands over a certain period he'd have had it on his desk within the hour, ask me to get a paper and you're screwed:o:rotfl::rotfl:
Off to the shop I toddle..........Wow it's quiet on here, it can't have been just me & Twinlie doing all the 'talking' surely?!?!?!:D1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:

hi Ladies,
it HAS been really quiet on here recently. I dont post much, but even I have been quite quiet as i am on my 2ww and dont want to start SSing (did that awhile back and was devastated to get a BFN).
On a different note (than SSing, as dont think we bd at the right time - OH always seems to be busy at the right time ..... rant rant rant) I am CD20 of a 28 day (normal) cycle and have AF like cramps. Any ideas on what this could be? I am really hoping that it cant be AF this early, as that would mean my cycles are up the creak.0 -
hassle - could be your guts? Have you eaten anything different?Never argue with an idiot, he just brings you down to his level and beats you with experience.0

Hassle1 have you been exercising or eaten anything different/spicy etc or picking up anything heavy?!?!
If not then I aint a clue, could be af coming early but it could also be a number of other things;)
Just try not to read to much into it though...easier said than done I know:rolleyes::)
EDIT: Have you been drinking a lot of something?!?! I know when I drink a lot of any type of fluid it tend to *ahem* clear my guts out IYSWIM:o1.11.09 - debt = £45k:eek:
