Trying For a Baby III

Hi everyone, i haven't read all pages (i mean there are 157!!!!). Me and OH have been trying for about 7 months now, not for as long as some of you girls but it is really leaving me feeling deflated. Our biggest issue is OH is always SOOOOO tired, he often does 12hr shifts and quite a few 6 day weeks so i can't blame him at all. I try to make things easier for him at home but about and hour after dinner he is guaranteed to be snoring his head off on the sofa. The worst thing about it is we are just 24. We already have one child, she is 3, i really really wanted another child before she heads off to school but i feel like it is highly unlikely.
How do you get preggers when you can't even get time to do the deed?Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -
I sounded like i was whinging then - i'm not - we are terribly lucky to have our little girl.
I would love to re-start a career (not just go back to working in a dead end job but doing something i love and hopefully have a decent cashflow as a bonus). My stress is that we are trying so i am hesitating getting back into study and work incase i fall pregnant...arggghhhhh! Lol! (before anyone jumps on me i'm not a ''money grabbing benefit scrounger wo doesn't fancy working'' in Jeremy Kyle's words- we don't recieve a penny in benefits - my OH works his cute butt off to allow me to stay home and bring up our daughter - we kind of like the old fashioned approach - it works for us)Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -
Hello all, can I join this thread?
Me and hubby have been trying for 2 months, (technically 3 months but my pill was still in my system for the first month) and already I feel frustrated and impatient. I also have a feeling that it will be very difficult for me to get pregnant. I don't know why I feel that way. I know that my being very overweight it going to make it more difficult to conceive so maybe that is foremost in my mind. Its also frustrating because 4 of my friends have been pregnant over the last couple of years and all of them got pregnant in one month!
I have bought the cheap pregnancy test from ebay, can anyone confirm if they are in fact accurate? as there would be no way of checking unless you were actually pregnant.
Secondly, I also bought the ovulation sticks form the same company. I'm hoping these will help to know when is the right time to BD!
Are there any tablets or anything I should be taking, anything to aid conception that I can do? I already take folic acid, but thats it.
Thanks

Hi all hope everyone is well
Just popped in for a quick question for someone clever, How long did your 21 day hormone tests take to come back? I got the other 3(thyriod liver & kidney) back within a week and Iv been phoning back every day since but the receptionist is useless The longer it takes the more Im panicking that theres something wrong ...0 -
my_georgeous_ellie-belle a little winging is what we all do, and you dont sound like a money grabbing benefit scrounger
Whoops trigger happy, posted before I finished .....
Katchambers all are welcome on the thread, am a relative newby myself, and have been made more than welcome. I felt that it was going to be difficult for me too, think alot of us feel like that, so i think its normal
Emmzy sorry, cant help with that 1. All I do know is that tests take time and doctors dont seem to ever rush with anything, so dont panic.0 -
Hi to My_gorgeous_ellie-belle and Katchambers - only joined in myself yesterday but already feel part of the gang
hassle1 re the dieting, i too have a little belly at the mo (to the point where people actually think im with child but can guarantee i'm not) not really dieting just cutting down on portion size. Diets never work for me but a smaller plate always has
Was talking ttc to hubbie last night. I was on all the sites getting the info and asked him did he want to know the gory details, poor thing nearly went white  anyway explained that ov does not last long etc and he told me in an open and honest voice - "I understand but would prefer if you did not tell me when this was happening otherwise id feel like i was being used". totally understand what he was saying and made a promise to make time throughout the month for bding (never a prob)
Good luck to jacobsmum for the interview tom

Thank you ladies for making us newbies welcome. :T:D
I have also explained the ''ins and outs'' - erm no pun intended- of ovulation. He doesn't seem to like the idea either, haha.
I think i have a lazy ovary too which is annoying the hell out of me. I have been doing the ovulation sticks and never seem to ovulate every second monthHas anyone ever come accross this?

*Your cervical mucus may become "eggwhite" (where it is slippery and stretchy and will pull apart between your finger and thumb without breaking) or "watery" (where its like water - clear and runny). You may be able to feel these externally too.
*Your cervix may go "high", possibly to the point where you cannot reach it!
*It also may go "soft" where it will feel similar to your lip when touched. Your cervix may also be "open" but if you already have a DS it will always feel a little open so that may not be a good enough sign for you.

Hey kids! I've had AF come to stay so I'm out for this month. But I knew that anyway because erm....we didn't bd this month! Ha ha ha. Nothing wrong but just VERY busy and our timetables and energy levels just didn't allow it! Not sure if I'll even bother with my cbfm at the minute. Might just leave it all wrapped up in it's pretty box.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

I *so* don't believe you...everyone loves a new gadget and us ttc ladies *love* to POAS, you won't be able to resist it! Especially when you go "high" then "peak", still makes me happy after 5 months of using it! :rotfl: Simple things eh?!
my_gorgeous - foof was the least rude word I could think of, it was that or foo-foo which is even more ridiculous! :rotfl:Never argue with an idiot, he just brings you down to his level and beats you with experience.0
