Annie,
just a bit of info about stress and af. I had always thought it was a bit of a get out clause and never really beleived it. However having learnt sooo much about womens fertility and hormones etc I can see why now. My tumour produces prolactin which is the same hormone produced in pregnancy which is why my cycles stopped because prolactin levels were too high. Since reading all about hormones etc prolactin is also greatly affected by stressed, it gets raised hence causing the same missing af as I had with the tumour. I have my levels tested every 3 months now and I'm on medication to lower it but even then the last test I had done my prolactin was treble the previous test which he put down purely to stress. It's gone back down again now so it does show how things we really can't believe make a difference do.
Wow long post! Sorry!
Polkadot how can you not love James Martin! He's gorgeous!:D0 -

WELL LADIES I HAVE GREAT PLEASURE IN INFORMING ALL OF YOU I HAVE MY BFP yes you read right I have my BFP.
I just cannot believe after so so so long and being written off as not being able to concieve I have managed to gt a BFP naturally. Although I am not telling anyone (well only you all on here lol) Im so excited but at the same time nervous as the pcos is not good with pregnancy etc. so hope all goes well. and will be sticking around here for a bit longer if you ladies dont mind.
Thankyou, I am really really excited. but also nervous doesn't seem real to me to be honest, but im sure it will eventually sink in. oh is over the moon , he is walking around with a permanent grin on his face, keeps saying to me " I told you we could do, I told you it would happen" Bless him, he has never lost faith not once ,thankyou for your kind messages.
my O/H told me to keep faith and as you all know I did waver a bit in the past few months, especially as I was told by my original gp than my chances of concieving were <1%.
I am just soooooooo happy, and I hope it gives you ladies ALL a lift and hope, as if I can be told I have less than 1% chance of concieving and then go on to do it naturally, im sure everyone of you will also get your much longed for BFP.
Lets hope all goes well, dont want to tell anyone really until after the initial 12wks.
:eek:OMG Kenco!!!!:T:j:T:j:T:j:T:j:T
OH's just asked me whats wrong as the tears are streaming down my face, I am so happy for you!
It's totally understandable that you are nervous and don't want to tell anyone until 12 weeks and I think it would be our pleasure to keep you here until you decide to leave us.
I don't know about everyone else but your situation gives me little more hope after everything you've been through

BTW Snugglepants, I bought a wine kit yesterday. DF has been making his own beer for years and we've talked about wine for me for ages. You inspired me, Im dying to get it started but DF says I should use his beer sugar and I dont know where it is...and he's still sleeping. But surely I can use granulated sugar as it dissolves anyway, doesn't it?
Yep use granulated (i've even used caster sugar on more than 1 occasion, all works well!) - it should say in instructions that you can use it anyway? I think it's 450g granulated sugar, and more if you use brewing sugar (so cheaper all round to use granulated!). Let me know if it doesn't give you directions for how much granulated sugar to use, and I'll grab my instructions. How big a kit have you got? I reeeeeaaally want to do a 30 bottle kit of red wine soonGood for presents too! :money:
kencokenco - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I am soooooo happy for you!! It's such wonderful news, especially as it's been such a tough journey for you to get there. Ok, maybe 2, but no less!
And here's to a good month for AugustDon't know when I'll be testing yet, but I know it won't be before then!

I'll be testing in August, it'll be about the 3rd/4th I think. After having a long cycle last month I don't know how long this cycle will beSealed Pot Challenge Member 1216 -

Yay! Cycle buddies possibly? Well, if I ov in the next couple of days........unlikely
I think I'm going to plan for a 49 day cycle *please don't be any longer!!* so I can be realistic with myself.....no EWCM yet
So I guess I'm looking at 12th Aug at the earliest........ *sigh*
Ok I just typed out a conversation with myself in my head:o

I've already ov'd snuggle, I was shocked at how early it was, as was expecting it to be over the weekend.
If I have a 31 day cycle I will be expecting AF on 2nd August, and a 35 day (which it isn't normally) it will be the 6thSealed Pot Challenge Member 1216 -

HUGE congratulations Kenco! I am so pleased for you :j:j:j0 -
thanks polkadot, on the plus side I don't have any pain (or anything, really) so that is a good thing. Poor you for being in and out of A&E so much, I hope you gave your GP a stern talking to after that.. ridiculous that you should be put though that!
becs - thanks for the explanation, I think I'll need to go read about prolactin now. Do you think its possible for stress to delay me by as much as 2 weeks? maybe that could be it.. I can't wait until Tuesday to find out, to be honest!0 -
