Trying For a Baby III

Yes going private is an option, it's £70 at Leeds Screening Centre which is quite a lot of money but I suppose priceless if it makes you feel better. I think I will probably just do that as I won't dare ask the doctor for one.
The trouble is last time the babies heart must have been beating at 8 weeks yet just a few days later I had the miscarriage, so I guess you can only know what is happening on the day you have the scan and the next day everything could be different.
Snugglepants I'm only 4 weeks 3 days but have know for 8 days now as I got a TLP last Thursday. 8 days which feels like a lifetime already!

Wow you found out nice and early! It doesn't help with the waiting/worrying though eh? I'd say go for it if you can afford it and they will give you a pic.
Let us know what happens with getting a scan.....I'd ask anyway at docs, as you never know!

Nikabella (and EA) it is only natural to be very hesitant and worried - I know I was and still would be exactly the same! But as we well know, there isn't a prayer in the world that can alter what happens, so if an early scan gives you a bit of peace of mind for a little while, then I think it is money well spent. Then hopefully you will relax a weeny bit and start to look forward, x So I'm expecting to see pictures from both of you now, you know...
Maddie, yup that testing list is when we would test so usually when AF is due - if you want to have a guess, or add on a few days that's fine, then we'll be waiting to see if you test or have other news for us all!
Now... what is so wrong with doggy style? I wouldn't say no, and if Hammond was involved, well...0 -
Oh no
I was 8 weeks last time when i went for the scan, but the baby actually miscarried at 7 weeks but stayed in me.
Our one was going to be £80 but i found a cheaper and better clinic that does it for £50. The place that did it for £80 is mainly a 4d scanning place, which explains their charges i guess.
Have you only got that one place you can go to? If not its worth researching other places that can do it for a bit cheaper.
I'd say £50-£60 is more reasonable.
But i agree, it is worth it for peace of mind.

Regarding doggy style, theres nothing wrong with it but my knees hurt after a while lol.
And i definatly wouldn't say no to hammond.
We have a hammond magnet on our fridge as OH got some top gear magnets free with the top gear mag0 -

Where're you doing it?! :rotfl: I'd say it's usually my arms that suffer the most, but if it's an impromptu carpet thing I'm right with you there with the knees!0 -
Yeah patience is not my strong point as I knew when I ovulated I added on 10 days for implantation & then started testing! Not very MSE
I think I will get that private scan booked to give me something to work towards, I don't really have any symptoms - just slight (could be imagined) nausea - so wish some would turn up so that I felt more reassured
I know what you mean madmac, there's something yummy about Hammond, however it would never work between me & him as I'm 5ft10 & he's knee high to a grasshopper :rotfl:

We looked around for a cheaper scan when I was having the bleeding last time, LSC were the cheapest and only place really! We never had chance to go last time before it was all over but we went with DD for our 12 week scan and they were very good.
I'll have another look.
