Catw0man, such absolutely crap and undeserved news for you to receive today. There really is nothing I can say or do to make this time easier for you to get through, but to add I'm thinking of you and pray that you can get through this OK and carry on to third time lucky if need be.

I, and others on here, know just how you are feeling and we're here for you whenever you need us, xxx

Snugglepants, you weren't down at Derriford were you? We have had that exact thing happen to us several times, so annoying and a complete disregard for your time - drives me mad.

Catw0man sometimes there are no reasons at all for these things. My friend's sister had 6 mc's before she went on to have a lovely little boy. They never found any reason for them unfortunately. She had another mc after him and now has a gorgeous little girl. Keep up your faith although I know it must be hard. You are sounding very level headed, hopefully things will take a turn for the better for you soon.

Scotsgirl and Catwoman I am so, so sorry to hear your news. I know it can be incredibly hard to even get on with normal things at a time like this so please make sure you take as much time as you need, cry if you want to and talk about it if it helps.

We had our miscarriage around the same last time Catwoman & I was really hoping that everything was going to work out for you this time.

I completely understand what you mean about miscarriage being an almost taboo subject in real life. Luckily I had some very supportive friends, one of which has suffered several so I could talk about it. However, when I went back to work I found it incredibly difficult as working in an office full of men no-one really knew what to say to me. Eventually I managed to talk with a few people one on one & then people began coming to me to talk about it, in the end about 4 of the guys told me that their partners had had them and that I could always talk to them if I needed to. For me talking about it was like therapy, it made me feel so much better, as I was only 8.5 weeks so most people didn't even know I was pregnant I felt as though if I didn't talk about it then it was as though the baby never existed. By talking about it I was able to feel as though the baby wasn't just forgotten. I appreciate not everyone feels this way though.

My thoughts are with you both.

Catwoman, when you are feeling stronger if you want to talk, PM me.

I had 2 m/cs before I gave birth to my son & have since found out quite a lot that does explain that it's not anything that you can have done that causes it.

When things have settled if you want to know more just let me know, don't be afraid to ask.

Catwoman and Scotsgirl, I couldn't read and run. I'm so sorry for your losses. I'll be joining this thread as soon as I can but I mc twins last Monday at 7 weeks so it's very fresh what a dreadful time this is, especially that wait for medical appointments. I suspected I'd mc'ed last Monday but didn't have it confirmed til last Friday.
Both H2B and I have told lots of people about it, lots more than knew I was pg because I want people to know they existed.

I wish you both the best of luck for future happy outcomes

Sorry to here of your recent loss too Courgette, when I mc'd in April I did tell lots of people, I think I wanted them to know why I was crying all the time! But it also felt good to get it out in the open, and so many other people have gone through similar and can understand. I think although I hadn't told anyone about this pregnancy I am not going to keep the mc secret, not that I want sympathy from people I just think it should be something that people can talk about and not hide, it happens to so many people and it's difficult to get through it alone. I really wanted to talk about it, I think it helps me

My mum had a mc after me and never told anyone (aside from my dad obviously), I found out when I was about 18 and she started crying while watching a lady have one in a tv show. Unfortunately, due to keeping it completely to themselves, to the point they didn't even discuss it with each other - neither of them has dealt with it. There is an awful lot of guilt in their marriage - both blame my dad for it for not helping more round the house.

So I honestly do thing that talking about it, especially with each other is important. My parents marriage has never really recovered, and both of them blame the mc.

If there is anything any of us can do, please don't hesitate to ask. x
