Afternoon girls. The sun is out today in (normally rainy) Lancashire so have got all my towels and bedding drying on the line; don't you find it's much nicer getting into bed with line dry sheets instead of tumble dried ones, or is it just me!

Can I please ask a rather silly question? How soon after AF is due do you normally test; one day, three days or do you wait until at least a week has passed just to be sure????

I held out last time for 3 days only to get a BFN and AF turned up about a week after I was actually due and I was thinking that if only I had been patient I would have saved myself the disappointment. It wasn't so much the cost (not very MSE!) but more the fact that I got myself all psyched up for nothing.

    many many congrats Scotsgirl.xxx

cafcgirl I'm feeling the same at the moment. I usually ov around cd16-18 but last month was cd13...never mind the 2ww...the waiting in any phase is just agony. And now reading what nichart20 says about the cbfm I'm worried. This is my first month on both. I charted for a while but struggled with that too as my hours were erratic-maybe I should think about going back to it. I only have this month and then DS starts nursery so I need to get my mornings more stable again (dust off the flylady rulebook :D)so maybe an incentive (who said that earlier?). All that taken into account, its normally the ewcm that tells me when its due...and again I ov'd on the left last month so it "should" be the right this month, which hasn't been ov'ing for a few months,so unless the clomid does its job this month I might not even ov.

I've read a lot of people talk about CBFM.....
I'm just using OPK sticks that I got from Ebay.... theyve done quite well so far, and Im pretty sure I am ov-ing, however after reading the instructions and things on the internet, I do believe I've been timing myself totally wrong!!!! :rotfl:I was obviously not thinking about surges.... Totally !!!!!! moment ....... feel like such a donk! But it does make me a tad more positive for this month...

    AUGUST WILL BE MY MONTH!!!

Thanks ladies! I'm totally freaking out at the moment lol!

I did use the ebay cheapie OPK and they worked very accurately, apparently! Wouldn't rate the PG tests but the opks are fine

Well, I'm thinking a lot about the timing of my test next weekend. We are at a wedding reception (I'll be driving so no drinking) on Sat night and I'd like to test Sunday morning.

Feel like the odds are good this month for the following reasons: got a 'few timely ones in' this month BD-ing :D and on the sod's law side, last month I stocked up on AF sanitary supplies rather than running them low in hope as I've done previously. Also just got accepted on to an 18 month masters degree through work (the course is totally free too - Very MSE!) which commences with planning this month - not sure what I'll do if I get a BFP but I decided TTC was not a reason not to do it, places were very limited, and my boss knows about my MC in Feb and she said to go for it, and finally today we just booked a fantastically luxury holiday to Cyprus (for Aug) we go out there on our first wedding anniversary. :T

Bought my test today and have hid it out of sight. Last month my cycle was 24 days long so I'm not sure when AF is due but had good signs of OV so I'm hopeful!
