Twinklie; sorry to hear about your MIL and the insensitve probing; I've been lucky so far as, up until a couple of months ago, I told everyone who asked that I really really didn't want children as I firmly believed that to be the case! Mother nature had other thoughts though and here I am posting on a TTC thread!

Don't know what to suggest you say to her other than to mind her own business but not sure how diplomatic you have to be; you could just smile sweetly and tell her that as soon as you're expecting she will be the first to know.

Re the vino; I wouldn't get too stressed about it esp if you're 99% sure that you're not expecting. I know that TTC is stressful but (and easier said than done I know) life still must go on; I'm still going to the gym and indulging in fairly high impact classes but, like you, I'm almost positive that I'm also a BFN.

If we all steered clear of life's pleasures on the off chance then, I for one, would go totally banana's.

Take care and try not to get too stressed out about it.

    Ellie

It was only the one glass anyhoo. Erm...I'm not diplomatic or tactful!! So I figure avoidance is the best course of action at the moment! Ha ha ha.

Hey all I got back from my hols yesterday with my little brothers Wii he loaned me it because Im a fatty and its still getting worse no matter how healthy I eat!! Hopefully it will help ... I already have w*nkers cramp from the stupid wii sports lol Argos have all sold out in the whole of Glasgow for WiiFits though:mad: I have nearly £60 in argos vouchers from doing surveys so I refuse to buy it from anywhere else 1 week of the 2ww almost over not raising my hopes for this month tho as I think we missed OV day

Congrats to the 2 BFPs :D:D:D Great start to August lets keep it up :D

Anyway, moving on from that....it's not just her it's lots of people. I'm due a visit from the witch at the end of the week (and I think she's coming).....I guess I'm just over sensitive. I've got a glass of vino to help me unwind....but then I feel guilty because I'm only 99% and not 100% that it's going to be a bfn. Does that make sense? Think OH thinks I'm barking!

Being upset by insensitive people...indulging in a glass of wine then feeling irrational guilt...makes sense to me! If you're barking then so am I !!:D

Off to work now, I reeeally don't want to go, why haven't I won the lottery yet?!

    CONGRATULATIONS

Kelinik and Scotsgirl that is brilliant news. Wow will this month be as good as July. It is certainly starting out very good.

I hope you both have a healthy 9 months ahead of you.

I haven't been on for a few days as been feeling a little poorly. Very sick all day. Which is making me tired. Was also concerned as when I was being sick it was really beginning to pull on my stomach muscles. Went to the docs and have been prescribed some medication to stop the sickness. So lets hope this helps.

Hope everyone is ok and getting in as much bd as you all can
take care and catch up soon

My MIL is a lesbian convicted murderer who doesn't want anything to do with us!! Having in-laws is never easy is it:rolleyes:

(((hugs))) to those with not so nice MIL's

Going to see friend who has 2 weeks until due date.... and I'm feeling a bit emotional :( Last time I saw her she was constantly rubbing bump and being all happy and excited, which is totally understandable, but I don't know how I'm going to deal with it today. I'll also get to see baby's room and all its goodies.

I'm going to have to get my head into "auntie lizzy" mode I think!

  • Congrats Scotsgirl! :j :j 2 days in, 2 BFPs so far, lets keep the momentum up!

CD3 here, was debating whether or not to get some more sticks for my cbfm - in the "if we stop trying and thinking about it it will just happen" frame of mind - but thought !!!!!! it, I'd rather know what's happening in my cycle and OPKs never work quite right for me, I always get the wee timing wrong. Think I must ov at some random time of day!
Anyway, plan for the next few months is to throw everything at it, cbfm, pre-seed, take B6 and agnus castus. Then if nothings doing by October I'm going to the GP.

I know that mean's we'll only have been trying for 7 months and that's not very long at my age but I have had pretty invasive abdominal surgery which affected at least one of my ovaries and left adhesions, so I figure I have reason not to be fobbed off for coming early.

Glad you're feeling sick kenco, not cuz I want to to be poorly but I've heard sickness=stickyness :grouphug:

Everyone else, have a great day, keep on bd-ing, stop SSing and get some more April babies on board!

    stickybabydust xx

Hi ladies, just returned from a lovely weekend - wedding on Friday and DS's THIRD (gulp!) birthday on Saturday - I can't believe how fast he is growing up!

Congrats on the BFP's - what a fantastic start to the month. I must admit I am feeling more positive this month as I have been trying to 'tune in' to my body and think we were BD'ing around the right time. However we shall wait and see and I will try not to get my hopes up. Less than 2 weeks to wait .....

I know what you mean about work though. My boss asked me outright in the interview if I wanted more kids because he didn't want to employ anyone who was going to leave (totally illegal but ......) I said no even though I had just come off the pill. Will be scared about telling him but at the end of the day what's more important??!

I am more scared about my little sis actually. She got married last year and fell pregnant in Jan but she lost the baby on Valentine's weekend. We are all absolutely gutted cos just assumed she would sail through like I did - they got all excited and started buying things. Anyway she took quite a while to feel like she was 'getting on with things' (sorry I don't really know of a sensitive way to put that) and they started trying again and she's just told us she's pregnant again (early days only 7 weeks). I really worried about TTC before she got pregnant again but we came to the conclusion we couldn't put it off because nobody knows what will happen in the future and would we put it off for weeks, months etc. Anyway was sort of hoping I wouldn't get pg until she was over the 12 week stage but also silly thoughts in my head about 'wishing it away' and then it won't happen. Sorry, typing as I think this probably sounds daft.

Anyway we are all excited about her pregnancy but also really worried so will just have to see what happens.

    Here's to a bumper month!!

well my plan is since we're going on holiday in Sept to NYC, and my dream is to be able to give DH a present at the top of the statue of liberty (we've got our tickets to go up to the top).
I've bought a little baby grow that says "feed me", and im going to wrap it up and give it to DH at the top of the statue, let him open it and wait for it to drop!!!
Then get some unsuspecting tourist to take some photos of us together with the baby grow over my belly, makes these into cards and send these out to the family when we're 3 months....
Am positive I wont be telling anyone other than DH till after the 3 month mark after losing our 1st and not finding out till the 3 month scan....

But this time round im really positive but it only gives me 7 weeks to make a bean for my plan to work LOL
That sounds great and coincidentally that was my plan too:D To tell DH when we were in NYC, not with the present and stuff though(he would be mortified with the attention:rotfl:)! When do you go?? Just so I know if I need to look out for you;) Also make sure you do TOTR too.....supposed to be better than Empire State :D:D:D

Confuzzled I'm also sorry af got you, and it was me that posted that about the angels...given me strength when I needed it. I hope it was a hopeful cry you had.
It was a hopeful cry, mixed in with frustration & lots of "whats wrong with me" questions:rolleyes: damn emotions!!
