Evening all.

Just back from a belated birthday meal out with my family. Since we are talking desserts, I had an apple and blackberry crumble with cream and it was delicious. Yummmmm.

Elle - the new photos are great. He looks so different with his eyes wide open and looks nice and relaxed at home. You must be ecstatic. I was thinking about Shelvis yesterday actually and wondered when the Aug edition was out. Will buy it tomorrow to take on our holiday!

We are off to York for a few days. Not quite a week in the sun, but haven't been to York and always fancied it. We are taking the car so can go anywhere else on route. Anyone from the area and want to suggest anything???

Good luck Tia - you are having a lot of false alarms so hope things get going! Hope Tink is ok too since she hasn't been back on.

Squishy - I would probably eat the cheesecake, but then I am willing to take that small risk so it's a personal decision. I think it usually says pasturised egg so if it just says egg, I would say it's just up to you. Lucky you though - if I sent my OH to the shop, he would come back with the minimum, not lots of extra treats! :rolleyes:

I think I'm just about to go for some of the frozen cake - it doesn't say pasturised anywhere, just skimmed milk soft cheese and dried egg and dried egg white. I figure with it being baked it should hopefully be okay!?

Searching - I'll give the OS board a shot as well (haven't been there for ages!) and see if anyone is about...

EDIT: oooh, just read on a different site a post from 2007 that said someone asked tesco if the egg they used in cheesecake was pasturised, and they were told that by law any egg used in the UK has to state that it is unpasteurised otherwise it's safe to assume it's pasteurised. Cool! I'll assume the same is true for soft cheese made from milk.

I'll stop bothering you all now
