Morning all, my whole body is starting to ache aquanatal was so much harder last night, feel a shadow of my former self ha ha
Has anyone started handing over their work-loads, or had to arrange cover with temps etc, and has anyone agreed to do KIT days, have you agreed dates before hand, not having the best of time with work at the moment just wanted to know your experiences x
Yep - all handed over. Just finished :j:j:j
Now got this afternoon and tomorrow to focus on final room tidy and just tying off a few loose ends. can't believe I finish tomorrow!!!
We are having a lunch at 1pm tomorrow but lots of people on holiday but enough of us for it to be good.
Xmas - acid reflux has got really bad for me in the last week especially when I go to bed.
Mrsmb - it could just be because you said you'd had a little bit of pain and she just wants to check you over. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.
Suzy - sending labour vibes your way hun!
Faye - will just be me and OH as all our family are a good 4hrs away so will wait a few weeks before visiting :j I mean
Fitz - I've had morning sickness last few days - I think it's where his bum is crushing my stomach.
OH decided he doesn't want me rushing about after work so wants to do Primark next week now  so I won't get hospital bag packed this weekend. Oh well, plenty of housework to crack on with - house is BIL tidy but now needs to be Mum tidy :rolleyes:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Does any one think i am being too precious about this or do you agree that it should be special just for me, DH and our baby? Dh is happy to go with me on any decisions on this matter.
No not at all faye. With DS i was adamant that the day we were relased it was just us and i wanted no visitors of any kind that day. It will be the same with this one. Just me, OH, DS and baby. It is your / our baby, not the grandparents or anyone elses and it should be your time together.0 -
Still got tonsillitis
After being told at the walk in 2 days ago it wasn't yet infected and not getting anything for it, i've made an emergency appt at docs for 3pm lol. Well they had no appts and she said is it something that can wait, i said 'dunno really, tonsillitis' so she said i can come in at 3pm :T
My friend said i won't be given penicillin if preg though, i hope that's not the case because it's getting worse and i always get it really badly and it will last ages if not treated:(

I havent bought any night dresses at all couldnt find any i liked they are either so over the top cutsy or looked like granny nighties so i have invested in some over sized mens white shirts. They are cool when it is hot warm when it is cold just long enough not be a hinderance when sleeping and they button all the way so perfect for breast feeding. Oh yeah and as a bonus other half thinks they look well sexy hehe:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Xmas that's a good idea about shirts - might try that myself as I'm not really a nightie person.
Beenie hope the Dr can sort something out for you this afternoon.
I'm at the nurse in a bit to see about getting jabs as I'm going to Egypt on my honeymoon. I'm not really sure if I'll even be able to have anything but I mentioned bing pg when I rang and they said to come anyway so hopefully not a wasted journey!0 -
Jenny- Thankyou . I know you're right and you too Xmas- Ive been up since 4 am with it going over in my head and I've decided to go in tomorrow and get it done and dusted. I'm now organising the 2 younger children and sorting out a going home outfit for the lil lady. Feeling excited now I've made my decision to go in and stay in - at least then i know shes coming by Saturday at the latest.
Re the Tesco basket - As I remember I got the voucher sent straightaway. Not the best basket , im sure you had to buy pampers with it too to get it free if i remember correctly but that might be me getting it wrong.
x
I didn't mean you shouldn't have a home birth - I don't want to be responsible for persuading you one way or the otherjust that maybe you should relax and think of other things. Anyway it's your decision and if going in means you do relax more then that is prob a good thing.
Nancmat, I've got two people taking over my work loadthey haven't stared yet but I've already had a morning with each of them and talked them though some of the tasks they will need to do and given them some reading material. They both start at the start of Sept even though I've said I'm starting ML on the 21st but my boss wanted lots of overlap so I can do a proper hand over and also in case I need to leave early. I think it's good to start handing over early as there's so much tidying up type stuff I will need to do towards the end and so I'll have more time to be on here!

Hi tracy i have an old shirt for the birth which will probably get binned and some black pj bottoms for after the birth. I just find the shirts are lighter and airyer than actual pj's or nighties as i usually sleep naked :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

re nighties - I have one which is red with a scottie dog on it. It's quite warm as well so maybe not suitable for labour!
I want to get some sleeveless ones if I can and I want PJ's for slobbin around the house more than just for hospital IFYSWIM. I tend to get PJ's that look like trackies so can get away with wearing them should anyone come unannounced (they shouldn't be you never know!)
I do have black towels and had planned to take them in with me as figured they would hide any embarrassment.
right, had dinner so going to make a drink and then crack on with some work. 10 working hours left :jA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

WM- Thanks.
You cant have the pessary, you need the cream , there in the same pack anyway but dont use the pessary at your stage as it can break your waters. Like you said i think your best off going to them rather than phoning them back and say your in agony and cant go on with it.
They gave me 3 pessarys.
Have used one already, don't care that its says to do it at night. No not trying to queue jump. Bit too early for me, just need some kind of relief now.
Results from UTI test had only just come in and not yet been read. Will call back on way home from work.0 -

Have any of you ladies had the tesco gift basket i joined the tesco baby & todler club as it said but as of yet have not had the card to go and collect mine and i'm on my second mailing. If you have when did you get your voucher through ???[/QUOTE]
i think they have stopped doing it now, i got my second mailing today with no voucher in it, i did however pick up one of the baskets from tesco on monday for £2.99. the sticker on it said free with voucher or £11.96. it was only just worth the 2.99 , it had a pack of huggies wipes, a small teddy, a record book, a small muslin, a bottle of talc and a voucher book but all the vouchers expired on 30th june.0
