How far away do you live from the pool? Is it accessible by public transport or near a shopping area, or do you know other kids who have a lesson at the same time whose parents would do the pick up? If your OH really can't be relied on to do it, and there are no friends or rellies who can help, could you get there with baby and son either by minicab or on public transport and maybe make it more worthwhile by having a few hours out doing something else nearby at the same time (or even lunch). His lesson only looks like it takes half an hour which isn't long to hang around for him, especially if you can then go on and do something more fun afterwards as a family

Unfortunately, the pool is situated on an industrial estate about 20 minutes drive away. It is a pool specifically set up for swimming lessons and thats all they do. No were good around to go shop. Would take 2 or 3 different buses. I will just have to put my foot down, it only takes an hour and 15 minutes out of the day, when you factor in the lesson, changing time and travelling time and is an essential life lesson.

I'm in Yeovil Boo and for sellers that Car Boot is rubbish too. Buyers probably get a bargain but I stood there getting sunburned a month or so ago for 6 hours and made a whole £35 and they took £6 of that as sellers fee. I was asking extremely low money for some brand new and top quality things and they would come back with an 'offer' of 10% and refuse to budge. I really wanted to clear out to make room in my house but some peoples attitudes got up my nose and I dug my heels in. Am slowly listing it on ebay for more sensible amounts. Though, even that has gone quiet the last week or two.

Gawd thats well annoying them offering u such low amounts for stuff. The last time I did one there (yonks ago), I hated the beginning where all the other sellers swarmed round our car and started trying to hoof stuff out the boot before we had even got the table up!! In the end we locked the car up and went for a mooch so that they had moved on. In hindsight we couldve probably sold a bit then but they were doing my head in!!

Also another moan from when I went out for a friends birthday last night, if anyone else says to me I hardly look pregnant I am gonna GRRRRR!! I had on a kaftan/tunic style top so not tight fitting but still IMO looked pregnant (Im 26+4 today - must take a pic to show u guys). Felt like saying 'are u implying I looked like this before?!' Moan over. xx

Thanks jha, I got some yesterday but they are the softer, acrylic ones I think. I think it was the cotton ones that felt quite stiff, these are more like wool all soft and fluffy. I got two so I will wash one on its own first and if the quality is not good they will be going back and I will be able to show them the comparison.

Is it worth you taking them back and complaining. You might get the money back to be able to spend on something else instead. Not heard of Shaws so I guess they are Wales specific.
