I went the carboot today and dragged hubby. It was a complete waste of time so of course he is now gloating that he was right and moaning that he could have got on with stuff. It was the biggest one i have ever been to and had the most amount of tat i have ever seen. Never mind. Came home to find i have been outbid on a pushchair on ebay. I really am shocked they are going for so much £200 for second hand is that me just being tight? it was just the pushchair no car seat or anything. i don't think i will find one cheap enough at this rate. This is my signature!0

Me too - in bed, on the sofa and in the armchair. Never been stuck to someone before (like two lego bricks that can't come apart) That was the bit that was weird :rotfl:

OH said one of the ones we normally go to was heaving with sellers today and most of it was tat but he managed to come home with bags of stuff to sell on eBay. I think he could make a little business out of it and at least have some money coming.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

i know someone who does just that. They mainly buy old records at carboots and chartity shops. Then sell them on ebay, By all accounts they do very well.
i guess carboots are a bit hit or miss really but the quality of the items was awful. It has def put me off doing one at that one anyway. i might try a smaller one. I have just found out there is a midweek one at a local beauty spot just down the road which may attract lets say a better crowd of people that are willing to spend a bit more. i would be heart broken selling at the one i went to today almost everything was 50p or under. A really good make coffee machine went for £2 good for the customers but not the sellers. This is my signature!0 -
Welcome three. Hope you are feeling better now Tia. Sorry you are still waiting Suzy.
OH has taken DS to watch oneof the local cricket teams. DS has not shut up all day, and had done my head in. I'm awful i know. But i just need to veg by myself on the couch, and the mountain of ironing can keep calling all it wants, because i'm not doing it.
Also how does OH have the audacity to tell me he hasn't slept all night, when i went at 10.45 last night and he was snoring his head off? So he was far too tired to take DS to football and yet again it was me who is exhausted, but "only pregnant" that had to do it.
Have no idea whats going to happen to DS and his sport once this baby comes.
Swimming Sat 11.30am-12pm
Football Sun 9.30am-11am
Judo Tues 6pm - 7.30pm
OH is just going to have to pull his finger out and stop being such a lazy get.
C Section = no driving for me. But not fair on DS to stop him doing the stuff he loves, or he will feel like he's being pushed out.
Oh Harley, re the £50 vouchers you have left for Mothercare. I know you want to rid yourself of them by can you not save them if you really don't need anything. Don't know what your Mothercare is like, but the superstore one close to me in Warrington, has a Clarks in it, if i had any left over, i would save them and use them towards shoes once your little one starts walking. As they cost a fortune and once they start on shoes they do through them so fast. Just a thought:rolleyes:0 -
Congratulations Three2be!!
Great idea about the ebay business for your OH Glam, I always liked the idea of doing that but doesnt help that I never bother going to the car boots, lol!! Our nearest decent one is at Yeovil which is about 45 mins away.
Well I had been starting to worry as I didnt have anything to wear to my bro's wedding at the end of September. So I bought this dress off ebay as I had seen it on Blooming Marvellous and loved it, but it is now sold out. It came yesterday and it fits and I love it, yay!! So at least thats now sorted.
Having a v lazy day today, me on lappy, DH on xbox, bit bored tbh and should be making much better use of my time. I find in the week I am all motivated and thats when I dont have too much time to do stuff and end up rushing about trying to fit bits in. Then at the weekends when I have spare time, I end up wasting it!! Duh!!Baby Toby born 17th Nov 09 :j0 -

He spent 6 hours at two different ones, spent about £20 and got stuff that will sell on eBay - hence why he was ringin me at 6.20am to check the price of something!
Boo - I like the dress!

Just been reading through some of the older posts on this thread and i could scream.
I really should have realized ages ago that i was pregnant. I took one of the kids chocolate bars the other week and loved it and i don't eat chocolate. I don't eat ice-cream it usually makes me feel sick but last week i made toasted waffles with ice-cream and syrup and eat a full portion or 2. I also craved a big mac (actually just the gherkin sauce) not to mention a very sensitive sense of smell.
I have been wanting to eat constantly too not large amounts but little nibbles through out the day of things i don't usually want or even like, burst into tears the other day at a flippin comedy on TV. will need to put it all down to pregnancy brain.lol[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j
