Well done HypnoNu and congrats to fishcake.
I didn't get ice cream in the end, just chocolate and I couldn't decide so came back with a fudge bar, double decker duo and milky way. Not sure they are going to last very longTegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)
Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early)0 -
Hello everyone!
Congrats fishcake!!
Well I had a dating scan yesterday and I am officially 11weeks. Baby is 4cm long now and I saw teeny tiny little hand and fingers covering it's mouth. Can only go back in 2 weeks for my nuchal scan as it was still a bit small and sonographer thinks 13 weeks will produce a clearer image.0 -

i think i'm going to change back to my maiden name by deed poll... does anyone know if the baby has to have his father's surname because we will still be married?
ideally he'd have his father's details on the birth certificate but my surname (which should be easier for claiming benefits etc as i've heard of parents being investigated for fraud when trying to claim for their kids with different surnames to themselves...)
i can only find out what info the cert needs, not how that info is decided (ie baby's names)

oooh, no thanks. Foof can be left well alone for the next 7 weeks thanks. Unfortunately since her bum is in the air must be her hands that keep scrabbling around my bum. Now that is a wierd feeling. Hope she's not trying to find an alternative way out:eek:

Wow, thanks guys. Soooooooo friendly.
I`ve just OH's mum texting me about the importance of folic acid. She has only known for an hour lol. I've been taking it for years as we've been trying but I didn't have the heart to tell her.

Sorry Fitzio! I was being lazy and didn't want to type fitzillian19 - have now edited it! Hope you feel better soon and enjoy your bath
I was only kidding by the way.Fitzilian can be Fitz too! Although DH was looking over my shoulder one day when other Fitz had asked a question and there were loads of replies wth her name in it. He was wondering what on earth I had asked!!
Bath was making me too tired so had to get out. I had actually managed to manouvre my way in with dry hands so I could read a book as well.
Hypno - good news about Standard Life. :T
Fishcake - welcome. You must be delighted after a few years of trying.
Xmas - I have no idea how many nappies to buy. I think we have 3 packs of Pampers in newborn size 1, and 3 in size 2. I was going to buy more, but DH said not to buy any more size 1 as he can go out and get them. Although several people have said that Asda will change them for different sizes (can't see them doing that with Boots own brand though!). Maybe ask if Boots would change them if you have too many and they don't fit?0 -
Going on a day out tomorrow with DS's gran (his "dads" mother, he's never met him as he did a runner when i was pg) and i haven't told her i'm pg yet, not sure how to bring it into conversation! Doesn't help that i'll need to mention my OH has also done a runner on me.
Doesn't look promising for me does it :rotfl: Anyone would think i was the problem :eek:0 -
Betty - glad your scan went well. 4cm seems so tiny!!!0
