Tia exactly i swear he thinks the kids and myself are stupid, but let him carry on its not worth the argument and the kids are already beginning to see what an inconsiderate a s s he can be. He will loose out in the long run as much as they love their dad they wont keep putting themselves on the line and being dissapointed by him i wonder if he will think that extra pint was worth it when they do turn. :-) x

    All caught up!

Now, appointment went fine. Just filled out some forms, asked not to be put on the CTG unless I had too, lying back was making me sick so they just had a quick check at the heart rate, she has been wriggling gently anyway (must know I have a sore tummy, clever girl). BP is fine. Took bloods for the section and got it out my arm, it did hurt but next time it's the catheter in my hand and then all over with!

And I am first in line on Thursday, to be there at 7.30am for theatre at 8.30am!!! :T:T:T

MIL thinks she is visiting on Thursday night... uhm...NO CHANCE! DH is going to tell her come up by all means, but you won't get in till I say visitors can get in (Husband and children are allowed at any time, other visitors only if you say they are and the hospital is very strict especially with sections) :D Friday night IF I feel ok Friday afternoon, if not, Saturday. Everyone has been told the same.

Feeling a bit better, had lunch at morrisons, got some sweets for my bag and now home. DH at work. I am very tired though.

Oh and I get my exam results tomorrow!!

I slightly feel it is the consultant's own fault :p. If you had a patient who had splattered you with emotional gunk two times running, would you really make the "baby half hanging out comment" (and I'm not paraphrasing by the way) and think you would escape completely unscathed :D. I can just about see the funny side now, but as soon as he said it, and I started to panic, you could see him regretting it :rotfl:

A little while back we were talking about Etsy for changing bags (and I have spent an unreasonable amount of time trying to decide what I want). This morning I have found a similar British site www.misi.co.uk which is just as dangerous, lol.

They have some lovely bags there and some are extremely cheap. Not so much choice under the changing bag heading but the tote and shoppers are plentiful.

Now I really don't know which to buy, anyway, thought it might help some of you who are still looking and watching the pennies. One I like is under £10 delivered.

Wow, that site has some gorgeous baby stuff and at really good prices too. It's all so tempting!
    Hey all,

Well it's taken me almost 2 1/2 years but I have finally got here!!!! Doctor confirmed it this morning and thinks I'm around 6-7 weeks but I'm waiting to hear from a midwife soon for a dating scan. I'm so happy and yet so completely freaked out.
OH has banned me from getting any baby packs untill our scan but I'm desperate to run out and get them and read anything baby related lol.
    Love and hugs to all

Hi i am back from my 20 wk scan. it was great we had a really nice lady doing it and she really went into great detail, describing everything she was seeing. I choose the right time to ask about the sex as she said the baby has it's leg crossed so i said oh so we won't be able to find out what sex it is then. She said yes that's fine she would do it at the end. So i am team..............Surprise! She tried everything bless her to find out i had to cough really loudly, she shook my belly i turned on both my sides and nothing those legs were still firmly crossed. We all laughed as it was like the baby was doing it on purpose as it started clapping.

I didn't get weighed, no bp no sample needed. Just the scan. Which is odd as i haven't seen my Mw since booking in and not had any of these routine checks yet. It surprises me that they aren't doing it as i suffer from high blood pressure and a very fast heart rate. My normal heart rate is the same as someone doing excersise.

Oh and she told me i also have an anterior placenta like some of you have said you have. I can feel movement so give it time. She did say hubby won't feel it for some time though which made him a bit sad.

Boots have always swapped nappies for me in the past no receipt needed.

Same as me- baby would not play ball. I'm quite liking not knowing the flavour though, although people always seem surprised.

Thanks for everyone's well wishes. I still feel like crap, but had a productive day at work. Feel really sicky and had horrid dia-woo woo earlier so maybe I have picked up a bug. I think I may have a slight temperature but as we don't have a thermometer I don't actually know. Baby is moving around tons though so I'm not worried about that.

So excited about all the iminent births this week- August is gonna be a super busy month on here.

Good luck with your exam results Tia.

Nicky- I think one small wobble is a very good result, all things considered so well done you .

So long as you made him regret it! :rotfl: You did well Nicki, no excuses or buts, you did very well.

    Those are very cute!

I just hope the postman turns up tomorrow, they have a habit of not bothering for days!

Big pot of French onion soup is started (no garlic, and it's good for digestion apparently) and I'm going to batch cook some bolognaise and curry (meat has to be used anyway) and then do a tesco order to keep my boys going in snacks while I am away.

    How cute are these?

I know. I told you the site was dangerous. There is so much nice stuff for little lady on there I don't even know where to start.

Just told mum and dad about it, with the warning not to look at the baby stuff (he he). Hopefully her christmas stocking will have a couple of little treats in it.

Thought, since I am going to be on a very tight budget at Christmas that it would be a good place to get some presents. Hopefully it'll save me a lot of money compared to what I would normally spend in town. I'm sure people will understand, wont they?

Glad baby is still moving around GISI but if you are still feeling rough tomorrow give the midwife a ring. There is no point in making yourself more ill by struggling into work if you have a bug. It'll just take you longer to recover. At least, that is what my new boss told me when he rang earlier to see how I was. He was supposed to ring yesterday but apparently I looked so exhausted when I left he didn't want to disturb me.. I obviously looked worse than I thought. Nice that he noticed and was considerate about it though.

Still got loads to do in the house but I'm so tired its all I can do to get up and make a cuppa. What is wrong with me!!!!!

Well good news on all the scans today!! Elasti, join the "it's going to be a surprise" club, heheheh. Makes buying clothes a bit boring as all the "unisex" baby clothes are a really boring white or cream  (I want vibrant colors!). Also thanks for the info on your 'nudges'...you're a little bit ahead of me so I'm confident I'll feel more definitive stuff soon :D.

tia - you gonna share that french onion soup? sounds soooo good right now. I've never actually made it before! :o Also, can't believe you'll have your baby in less than 48 hours!!

GISI - those are the most adorable little shoes. Luckily I can resist, because I don't think a little boy would be very amused if that's what it winds up being

Fishcake - welcome!! And a huge congrats...if you've got any questions, these ladies are so smart

Hypno - fantastic news, glad you stuck to your guns!

Beenie (& elasti) - I had a MW appt at 16 weeks...maybe b/c it's my first? I've got another one for the 24 wks after my late 20 wk scan (well it's a wee bit early, only b/c MW is going on hols). Does everyone get a GTT? I'm reallllly hoping I don't...

Well DH is being a good boy and not a baby yet, but that's prolly b/c the painkillers haven't worn off :D. He's kept quiet with the Playstation right now, hehe.

Aless, it's so easy to make, except the onions! But I just peel them and do them through the food processor. Then you Brown them off (add a little at a time, splash of wine (white if white onions, red if you want some colour), add in some stock and herbs and garlic if you wish, simmer for 20 mins and eat with some sort of cheese topped bread, personally it's just cheese on toast for me, dead posh! Was only a recent discovery since being pregnant, but it fills me up and is light on my stomach.

How can I make milk taste less like milk? Milk is working for the refulx, but it is so gross it can make me gag (hate the stuff). Just flavoured powder?

I'm picking my lil ladies christmas presents! Those cute boots from a few weeks ago, a raggy doll... well thats all I got, but it's a start :D
