Hey ladies,
Sorry I'm not catching up properly, but:
Hypno, that is super awesome. I'm most envious. Good luck with the insurers, you must be beside yourself with frustration. Can your consultant not fax them something to the effect of "this is a medically necessary C-section and if you think otherwise I suggest you go and boil your heads"?
Last pregnant day was spent doing last minute stuff - I bought some pajamas and a robe, went to the post office, looked for curtains, tried and failed to buy arnica tablets but ordered them and will have them for post-birth which is better than nothing, forgot to buy a baby hairbrush. Oh, and we had a fantastic long leisurely steak, salad and chips lunch. It was glorious!
I'm going to miss having my little girl kicking away at me, but the next step will be exciting too! Hopefully my computer's working properly again... this being offline is incredibly frustrating.
The funny thing is that they now do agree that my c-section is medically necessary but they say that the policy doesn't cover it, well then they shouldn't let their senior people make blanket statements to the press about covering all medically necessary c-sections then should they!
It must be exciting knowing today is your last day, now i have a date i think i'm panicking a bit, i can't beleive i'm going to be a mummy in a few days...what if i'm no good at it????0 -

OH GOD, OH GOD, OH GOD......the hospital just called!!! There's a space for me on Friday, I'm having my baby on Friday!! on the 07/08/09.....the vibes worked, my baby will have a cool birthday and i will have a baby by my birthday!!!! So I'll be having my first baby at 28 (only just though!)
I want to jump around the house and scream but i'm not allowed!!!!
So aaarrgrghhhhhh!!!:j:j:j
Yay, congratulations!!! I am so pleased you got the day you wanted, and before your birthday too!Does anyone else feel sick when baby kicks you?
Yep, i do sometimes. I think it's the relentless jiggling about that you sometimes get. It's because it has Quinine in it which supposedly can help leg cramps. But everywhere on the web says not to use this during pregnancy!!! Although surely the midwife would know best. Maybe it's only a low dose in tonic water. And it's only Schwepps tonic water that has it.
Not sure whether I should buy it. Might hold off and try other things.
I hope tonic water isn't dangerous in pregnancy as I've drunk it a few times (and I may or may not have dipped the rim of the glass in gin to make a kind of gin and tonic).
Well I don't have swine flu, or any kind of flu. My headache and general aches and pains went off after I'd had something to eat and drink, although I did feel woozy all morning.
Rant alert- skip if you want toFirst day back at work was horrid- tons to do and I feel like no-one is making any concessions for the fact that I am six and a half months pregnant. I have to do a six day week next week, starting at 7am on four of the days and driving well over an hour each way to a meeting on another. Back aches, feet ache and I'm nackered already.

Afternoon ladies and bumps
Moaning as usual, feel free to skip,
Urgh, I hate these tablets so much, I have got so much to do but they are making me feel awful! I cant sit down without passing out and i feel so yukky and groggy  My poor kids are not exactly having much of a summer so far! Tia, have they said anything to you about staying on your tablets after your baby is born or if your baby will suffer any side effects? They havent told me anything but there is no way I am staying on these afterwards!!! I dont care what they say, my BP has always gone back to normal after I have delivered, I am going to be tired enough with a newborn without stupid tablets making things worse.
MBM x

Happy due date Carla, hope your lil one is only a little late and not dramatic entrance late!
Sugar, is it tomorrow your date? I'm not too bad now, was hot and sweaty/clammy earlier but fine now. And I got it in my arm rather than my butt so all's good
I'm thinking about dinner, pork chops anyone?
And my kitchen is slowly being de-cluttered and junked and that seems to be really improving my mood (slowly bit at a time, bin bag sitting and I will bin something each time I go in, while I'm waiting on the kettle boiling etc). Kinda sorting out baby stuff too. Going to bring down the steriliser and make it a space and the bottles etc. If I do it now, I won't be running round trying to find stuff when I get home. Debating building the crib, nah will leave that to DH and just use the moses basket, but I've also got a natures nest...:D:cool: 3 sleeps!! :T:eek::D:confused::eek::rotfl:0 -
It is tomorrow, Tia. I've just ordered a baby book and Husband went out and bought a baby hairbrush and a repulsive thing that is apparently for sucking snot out of their tiny noses. I'm not touching that. Seriously.
And now one more OCD repack of my bag and I should call my mother. What a busy and exciting day today has been - and how much more so tomorrow will be!Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
