Yes have been on Remegel as prefer them to the chalkie ones. But they stopped working. Have Gaviscon (aniseed) from doctors. Its disgusting and i wretch when i take it. Seem to have a 4 - 5am wake up every morning and can actually feel the acid burn in my wind-pipe, so may be its more like reflux. Woke at 5 this morning, went down-stairs had gaviscon, then tried to go back to sleep sat upright. It didn't happen. Was actually sick whilst in work, but even that didn't ease it.

this is what i have had... think i have reflux as well. last week it made me sick and omg it burnt my insides....like you didnt ease up at all.
have a bottle of gaviscon by our bed so i take it just before i go to bed, this has helped a lot as when i wake up 2 or 3 times for a wee, i don't have the heartburn have the tablets to chew on during the day and when i;m out and about.

I feel shattered! Mil is having ds for a few nights as i have 2 hospital apts this week so we dropped him off and hubby decided it would be a nice treat to go to the cinema but that he didn't really want to pay the sky high city car parking charges as we would be some hours, so we went to the park and ride just out of the city. But silly us forgot to see what time the last bus was and by the time the film ended and we walked back to the bus stop we had missed the last bus by 10 mins.
So we are in the middle of a city we don't really know well, All the shops are shut, no buses and i couldn't believe we couldn't find a taxi so we had to walk all the way out of the city to get back to the car  It took us just over an hour. I think i will go to bed soon.
    This is my signature!

Hiya, of course I dont mind, i'm on methyldopa 250mg 3 times a day  Yuck, poor you having to be on meds for so long, crappy BP eh?

    MBM x

i'm on that same one and dosage too. was on atenelol before i found out i was pg for my existing high BP.
i've had no side affects at all.
my gp said it is the safest for baby but the side affects for me could have been worse. so i guess i;ve been really lucky.
there are other meds you can take so definitely go back if these are making you feel bad.

i'm having weekly checks at the mw and so far have had one extra scan and am having a another one on the 10 Aug.

if my BP gets to 140/90 i;ve got to go straight to the hospital. weird as this was my normal BP before i was PG....

They havent really given me a figure that I need to go back in with, they seem to think I am a bit wierd for monitoring my BP at home and asking if I am a nurse  They just say to go back if I get a headache, flashing lights or a pain under my ribs which is stupid really as I have told them countless times I can always tell when my BP is too high cos I can hear my pulse in my ears, but I have headaches quite often even when my BP is fine.

Have they said anything to you about induction Jilly? A Dr at ANC very briefly mentioned it when I went for my antenatal appt but I think I scared him when I immediately jumped on him and asked when lol.

it was the consulatant who gave me the level. thankfuly since i started on the tabs, ( 6 weeks pg approx) my BP has been fine. no swollen ankles, except if i stand too much, but my fingers and hands ahve been a swollen over the past week so i need to mention this to mw

i asked at my last appt bout induction etc
the dr said that if my BP goes high they will induce at 37 weeks, if it stays like it is i should be able to go naturally, i'm going to ask again at my next consultant appt and also ask my my this week. my mum is coming to this appt so she will jog my memory for me if i forget.

    Hi Jenny

This is the one I am looking at getting for bubs when she is born. Not that I'll have time to do the ones I've already got, nevermind any new ones. But I saw it at one of the shows back in April and have been kicking myself ever since for not buying it.

    What do you think?

Thanks Harley, I like that one but I wanted something more like the ones I've already done so they almost look like a set but can't find anything. Will keep looking - still have a while yet!

EA - I epilate, you just have to be tough for the first couple of time (don't leave it too long before doing again) then after about three times it doesn't hurt at all. I couldn't do waxing either but at least with epilating it's only a few hairs at a time :o

Everyone at my hospital except my consultant is weird about me monitoring my own BP!!! The one time it was high and I called up telling them it was high and my consultant had told me to call, I got my head bitten off for monitoring it at home  Since then I've just said 'I feel really strange and not myself'. Which sounds pathetic really.

The labitalol is not so good with me. Crawling scalp, melting into the chair, irritability, headache  I hate it. But only 3 sleeps!!!

My steriliser is now in the kitchen having it's first empty steam. Got 4 large avent and 2 large TT bottles, plus a small TT bottle and the TT breast pump fits them all, so I can express :D I've also got a bottle brush but don't remember getting it, bonus!
