Afternoon ladies and bumps
Moaning as usual, feel free to skip,
Urgh, I hate these tablets so much, I have got so much to do but they are making me feel awful! I cant sit down without passing out and i feel so yukky and groggy  My poor kids are not exactly having much of a summer so far! Tia, have they said anything to you about staying on your tablets after your baby is born or if your baby will suffer any side effects? They havent told me anything but there is no way I am staying on these afterwards!!! I dont care what they say, my BP has always gone back to normal after I have delivered, I am going to be tired enough with a newborn without stupid tablets making things worse.

Good luck Hypno, I really hope they sort themselves out on this as it is pretty petty behaviour over what, as you pointed out to them, is a relatively small amount. The cost of lost revenue and bad publicity that could result from you putting the press right must surely not be worth the few quid it will cost them.

Afternoon ladies
God im so bored feel like banging my head against the wall just for the entertainment value.
For the indigestion ladies i used to use tonic water but its something i like anyway so was never a problem drinking it for me. If you really hate it try warm lemonade it is meant to help as well :-)
Hypno I hope they get it all sorted for you it cant be doing your blood pressure anygood at all :-( x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
MBM, call them now and ask for your medication to be changed, you are not happy and can not function with the side effects and look after your children, nor do you want to be hospitalised because of it. Despite their usual reluctance to go swapping things about, there are other meds you can take and hoepfully that are better suited to you.
I can tell you that with the boys, I did have to stay on labitalol for 6 weeks then changed to antenalol (not suitable for pregnancy) but had no side effects after I delivered. Seems to be it's pregnancy that makes the side effects worse.
I was on meds for 3 months after DS1 (pre eclampsia) and over a year after DS2 (eclampsia and my BP went upto 210/180!!!! so serius damage was done).
And as much as they want to disagree, since June 2006 (DS2 born April 2005) my BP has been normal. Till now obvisuly!0 -
xmaslolly - I'm ok, I enjoy a challenge and i'm only fighting for my rights at the end of the day. Luckily my blood pressure is naturally on the lower end of normal so it's fine, the midwife took it at my appt at lunchtime and it was 100/60...chilled mumma me!:cool:0

I wouldnt do the caster oil thing, it can pass through to your baby and make them pass meconium in their waters, which can be very dangerous for them.
MBM xIt gives you really bad diarrhoea and the cramps from that can trigger labour contractions, but it's not pleasant. You can end up dehydrated with severe runs and not even go into labour anyway, I wouldn't.
Ok, thanks ladies!! Think it best if i let the wee'un do it by itself. dont fancy the cramps or diarrhoea, and would no way chance hurting my bean!!Carla-Farla!!

Hey ladies,
Sorry I'm not catching up properly, but:
Hypno, that is super awesome. I'm most envious. Good luck with the insurers, you must be beside yourself with frustration. Can your consultant not fax them something to the effect of "this is a medically necessary C-section and if you think otherwise I suggest you go and boil your heads"?
Tia, hope you're not too lobsterrific after your injection.
Carla, a friend of mine told me a tale today about her SIL, who took a bunch of cod liver oil to kickstart labour, but it started by itself before the, uh, "effects" took place. She had diawoowoo with every contraction.
Last pregnant day was spent doing last minute stuff - I bought some pajamas and a robe, went to the post office, looked for curtains, tried and failed to buy arnica tablets but ordered them and will have them for post-birth which is better than nothing, forgot to buy a baby hairbrush. Oh, and we had a fantastic long leisurely steak, salad and chips lunch. It was glorious!
I'm going to miss having my little girl kicking away at me, but the next step will be exciting too! Hopefully my computer's working properly again... this being offline is incredibly frustrating.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I do get a bit lightheaded every now and then but then i've always been like that, I black out when i get up too quickly and then have to just stand there for a bit until my vision comes back, it's not really changed through the pregnancy though, it's not got any worse or better....apparently it's a good thing to have slightly low blood pressure!0
