Quick question, when you have the glucose test do you get the results there and then, or do they get back to you?

They get back to you, mine was the next day.

Ooh, I'm in Southampton. Do you live near by?

I used the Tesco vouchers last week. They are fab when you use the altogether and also combine them with their offers too.

That cot is lovely- well done for finding a bargain!

Hi GISI. Well we live in North Dorset so a good hour and half away, but Southampton or Bristol is our nearest Mamas and Papas store. Also thought we could go to Babies R Us whilst we were there. We will prob go another weekend though as I do love seeing stuff 'in the flesh'!!

Yep the Tesco vouchers were fab. I also handed over all my coupons and noticed a few went through even though I hadnt bought that actual product, like the £1 or £2 off huggies nappies. Didnt think that usually happened with tescos own coupons so I was double chuffed :T

We got 4 big packs of Pampers New Born (62 per pack) size 2 I think they were, not sure if this was too many but they were on 2 for £12 plus we had vouchers to reduce it a bit more, so hopefully they will swap them if we dont end up needing that many, as someone previously suggested.

I cant wait for the cot and mattress to arrive, it says it will come on Friday but doubt we will put it straight up as got to decorate the nursery yet. MIL has offered to make curtains out of cath kidston circus fabric which we love but not very mse at all, lol!! But she insists so they should be lovely :)

    xx

And I'm still blubbing, for no real reason other than I just want to blub! It's like the baby blues, I don't feel sad, I'm just crying. Is this normal? I have no idea what 'later pregnancy' is like, but so far I'd say it is bloody crap!

I've been relatively hormone mood unaffected all pregnancy up until today. Fell out with my DD while out shopping as she was being a brat and started crying in KFC, couldn't stop all the way home. Got in and poor OH looked and me in total panic I must have looked like someone had died. Couldn't explain why I was crying and ended up going to bed and sleeping for 2 hrs. Got up and started again, not too bad now but keep getting random tears. Its horrible, I hate feeling like I've no control and defo no control over this :o

Hypno - thanks. I normally do eat quite healthy, but the past few weeks I haven't been as when I get home with swollen feet, I need to sit with my legs up all night or they won't go down for the next day. Need to try and get back to meal planning - so looking forward to mat leave.

Nikki - hope your house is ok. It's not long since we had to redecorate everywhere when water came pouring through into our living room. Nice new carpet out of it, but doubled the insurance premium! Did you enjoy your theatre visit last week btw?

Albion - I didn't feel baby kick until about 21 weeks (it's my first). I didn't really feel any flutters before, although I was watching out for them. It was pretty much straight into pulsating feeling kicks. Good luck with the scan, and definitely post and chat any time you feel like it.

Dinner was a bit rubbish. We both had a roast, and I went for roast pork, but they had no apple sauce!! It was really quite dry so I was disappointed and should have gotten the beef which was more tender anyway. Why have roast pork on the menu and not have apple sauce??! I just don't get it! But the Belgian Waffles and hot chocolate sauce made up for it a bit. :D

The house seems to have survived thank goodness! The ceilings didn't come down and we got buckets and towels down fast enough to be able to rescue the carpets. DD loved the fuss!

I really enjoyed the play, and we got good seats last week, but I was sitting beside a complete plonker (*), who insisted on sitting with his legs spread wide apart, and his arms on the shared arm rest with elbows splayed so that he was well over into my part of the seat. I thought at one point, the baby might kick him in the arm! I'm not sure why he felt the need to be quite so space aggressive - I wasn't expecting extra space just because I'm very heavily pregnant, but getting the full amount of space I'd paid for would have made the night more comfortable!

    * Don't mean my OH btw - the stranger on the other side of me :D

    Hi all,

csh and tai, I am sooo hormonal too, keep crying at everything. We watched Deep Impact yesterday, a movie I have seen loads of times, but for some reason I started crying uncontrollably at the end. It's so annoying, I've stopped watching the news as I kept crying at that. Anything that involves a parent and child relationship makes me cry. I'm only 19 weeks, got 21 more weeks of this arrgghhh!!!

Beenie - I was told that if I didn't hear anything about my glucose test then it was fine!! I had it 10 days ago now, so I'm assuming it was all clear. I hate it when they do that tho, as you don't know when to breathe a sigh of relief!

I've had a lovely weekend, yesterday went and chose my 30th birthday present from the jewellers with my Hubby. Am getting a gorgeous gold crossover half eternity ring. They are resizing it, but should be ready in time for my birthday next Weds, yeah! We stopped in at a garage sale on the way home and bought my little boy (18 months old) a Happyland Train Set, which he absolutely adored and all yesterday and today he hasn't played with anything else! Then today we went to a miniture railway adventure park, which my little boy just loved. It was a really nice family day.

Got 2 weeks until my 21 wk scan now, can't wait to see my little bubba and find out if I have a pink or blue bump.

Well, sadly enough, I'm off to bed now, just feel constantly tired at the min, pregnancy is sooo much fun!!

    F xx

Yes, that's very annoying! At least when it's your OH you can elbow them out of the way. You should have linked arms with the bloke and winked at him. I bet that would have scared him over a few inches!

Snap, I'm due boxing day too!! My first baby was due Christmas Day!! We really don't plan these things well. I didn't want to find out the sex this time, but my husband really wants to, so have decided that we will. I got my way last time and we didn't find out, so it seemed only fair to let him get his way this time.
