Glad your home Tia, 13lbs??? Im soooo jealous! I got weighed a few weeks ago and had put on 21lbs! but everyone says I can't have done, can't see where all that weights gone on!? Must admitt there right, my hips have got wider and my stomach fatter but nowhere else has got bigger. With my ds I ballooned everywhere, even my face was massive! I cringe at all the pics of me holding him just after he was born..I look absolutley huuuuuge at the side of him and he was 8lb 13.5 so wasn't a tiny baby :eek:love my little man he is amazing :j0

Tia - happy that they've let you go home! It's so much easier (IMO) to rest at home than in hospital!!
I was initially worried about weight issues during this pregnancy. I've (as of today) put on 2kg since the beginning. I started out worrying I'd put on too much, but then started worrying that I wasn't gaining enough and that it might be unhealthy for the baby. But both midwife and consultant say as long as baby is growing okay, that it's not a problem. Here's hoping that means I'll be back in my pre-pregnancy trousers quick! lolMSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -
sorry, seem to have started something with this whole weight gain thing! I've had a root roudn and as have a BMI of over 26 apparently I shouldn't gain more than 15-25lbs. So possibly 8lbs half way through is too much and I should slow down, I don't think it's diet related, I am just less active. My mother keeps saying I should be losing weight now I am pregnant but then I don't and have never had her taller straight up and down body, she was a size 10 until she was about 60 and still looks better than me in a bikini!0

why does she say you should be losing weight now you're pregnant?
I feel like i've put loads on, but i think my womb is just pushing the flab outwards :rotfl:0 -
Awww, my poor brother is Facebook whinging at me - a girl from his old school suggested they meet up, and then didn't turn up and is ignoring his Facebook messages.
He's not impressed that I told him to stop messaging her. I think he is expecting me to work some sort of magic and have her fall in love with him.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

They weighed me at the diabetic clinic, before that I had no idea.
Speaking of the diabetic clinic, I quickly met my diabetic consultant before he was whooshed out for my medical consultant to have a feel of my tummy and send me to the inpatient ward. Didn't get to see the dietitian at all. Was literally a 'Hi! the past few days numbers look great!' and me saying 'yeah, cos I'm not eating' getting asked why I'm not eating and then telling my own consultant about the tightenings and pains and suddenly it was 'ok, If (diabetic consultant forget his name) wants to scarper I'll have a feel of your tummy'.
I want a bath now and someone to make dinner for me, but poor DH is tired too (he is just taking his mum home).0
