*hugs* jha - it's crap to feel crap and have crap happening at the same time.
Stuffing cabbage leaves in your bra might help with the boob pain? Eating cooked cabbage might relieve your other end? And the stench of cooking cabbage might drive the vomiting cat outside so the vomit no longer needs cleaned up.
Cabbage is astronomically useful and woefully underrated.
I'm not trying to make light of your feelings, just trying for light relief. Feel free to tell me to stuff the cabbage leaves...Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Hey girls, my friend has just left and standard life have called about 4 times this afternoon trying to fob me off but i'm having none of it, the last call was to tell me that they're going to ask the papers to take the story off their websites.....So what??? The company still made that statement and if they're happy to tell me it's not true and that that they were lying to the press then i'm more than happy to update the press and let them know that Standard Life do not cover essentional c-section for medical reasons even though they claim to!0

Hey nanc - we're water birthing... If you're interested there is a book, creatively titled the water birth book. I managed to get a copy through my local library (v MSE
) There are just so many pros, including less pain, less risk of tearing, lower likelihood of interventions... If you're not homebirthing then prob worth finding out how many pools your hospital has, how often they're available and how many MWs are trained to use them. Seems to be a wide variation between hospitals.... Saw a vid of a water homebirth the other day and it was lovely (insofar as vids of births are!) - felt v emotional watching it

Sugarspun i have tried savoy cabbage for the boob pain before
it worked whilst i wasnt pregnant - you did make me giggle though.
EA - i have rented a doppler from ebay and wouldnt be without it - i started trying at 8 weeks and was sucessful in hearing heartbeat at 16 although i am overweight so others might here earlier or later - it depends on the mum and the baby really i think. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BT200-SOUND-FETAL-DOPPLER-RENTAL-HIRE-1-MONTH_W0QQitemZ260369076075QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Baby_Maternity_Pregnancy_MJ?hash=item3c9f34cf6b&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262

What papers Hypno?
Quotes in articles form their chief medical officer saying that they cover medically necessary c-sections:

the articles are about AXA PPP but there is a statement from Standard Life in the articles.0 -
Jenny - maybe they have to wait until they know the baby's not breech and there aren't any other complicating factors? Although I've got my homebirth booked, either of those situations emerges between now (33) and full term then it's likely to be off.
BTW, the clary sage and lavender oils I ordered yesterday arrived today! Bargain and good service, yay!
Hope scan goes well, nancMFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

I don't see how it's even in question, Hypno. Placenta praevia isn't something you should mess about with just to placate insurers.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Thanks mountain and girls, yes midwife was lovely said its great for pain relief, less likely to tear etc, and that our hospital have birthing pool just need to put it down in my plan in advance, but obviously not 100% guaranteed as it may be in use, or I might have other probs etc, but she was positive for me to put it in my plan, so I'm going to seriously consider it.Received £2,626.00 in PPI -2013:j
Received £1400 charges - 2006:j0
