Afternoon ladies, bumps and beans!
I have been catching up for quite some time, gradually forgetting what I've read as I moved through the pages, d'oh! You have all been very chatty in the last 24 hours though!
From what i can remember -
Beenie - I have to say that if your ex was being really uncooperative about the car I would be tempted to report it stolen! But then I am a bit like that, and it possibly wouldn't be the most productive outcome!
Jenny - sorry you didn't sleep so well worrying about the spider. I would have been exactly the same! My OH jokes when I tell him I found a spider he needs to deal with that he can see it holding a knife and fork ready to come and eat me!
Xmas - strength vibes to you
Tia - hope they let you out of the hospital soon, either that or your little lady makes an appearance and you can just stay there and let her out!
SS - happy due date! Hope you get some movement soon too
Labour vibes to Suzy and anyone else who wants them
Lou - Definitely got what he deserved - ha ha ha ha!!!
Sorry if I've forgotten anyone!
My news today is that we had our new fridge freezer delivered which is great except that in the spot where I wanted to put it in the entrance to the kitchen, it means that we can no longer open the cellar door. ONly alternative is to put it in the dining room which I really didn't want. Oh well. Might just have to stay out of the cellar (not a massive problem really!)0 -
I know that's not true MM, as I was a NIer too, and I recall having a conversation with you and at least one other poster (maybe more than one) months and months ago about where we all used to go out drinking when we were young and unencumbered. But can't remember who that other was now
I knowI mean the only one that still lives here !!:rotfl: You all abandoned my lovely wee country, so I was still a loner
A few of you mentioned the clique feel to this thread a while ago, and that the parent thread is like that now too. Its not, just some of us have been posting for the same amount of time and know enough about each other to have separate conversations. No one was ever made to feel left out on purpose if thats what any of you thought, and if any of you didnt post because of me, I'm sorry
Tia, hope they either let you out, or make you have the baby while your there !!:rotfl:
Glam, how you holding up honey? I saw work were being funny about your hol pay, did you get it sorted?
NMS, big congrats to you darling
SS, happy due date *labour dust* coming your way
carla ,happy due date for tomorrow and you can have some *labour dust* too
and HI to everyone else I have forgotten aboutThe two best things I have done with my life

Thanks to all those thinking about me and my spider. I didn't sleep very well last night and as soon as I heard the front door going this morning I shouted at OH to come and get rid of the spider which he did with minimum fuss making me look a total wimp.
Does anyone else occasionally get an acid taste/feeling at the back of their throat that doesn't go away for ages? Going to google it but just thought I would ask here as well.
Yes I've had it but only in the past few weeks. Never had it in other pregnancies before but this pregnancy has been different to when i had the boys.0 -

I'm going to cry. After over four hours' worth of phone calls and multiple faxes, Barclays have just sent me a letter telling me they've not received any response from me regarding my dispute claim so they will not be following up my case.
I talked to them about it just last week. I'm on hold with them now, and the woman I'm dealing with is another utter incompetent. I can't do this today. I'm too pregnant and too tired and it's too stressful. Why is an illegal transaction not something they'll take care of, when they've always been so happy in the past to block my card as soon as I've booked a flight?Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I think I forgot to say Happy EDD SS!!!! Fingers crossed that it happens very soon for you.
Tia- hope they let you home soon and sending you lots of labour vibes.
Got to go to a work presentation this afternoon, even though I am on holiday. Only two hours though, and I don't think I actually have to do anything, just watch. Good job really as I feel really fuzzy headed today!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
OH SS, what a bunch of w@nkers
get your stroppy head on and let them have it.....
and threaten to set a pack of pregnant and hormonal ladies on them if they don't sort it out!0 -
omg omg omg :j:j:j:j:j:j:j
I am so HAPPY :j:j:j:j:j:j
Basically i asked what the consultant thought were the main risks to my pregnancy / labour he said there main concern was the premature birth of DS @ 35wks But he is very happy with my progress and my baby is growing very well with no signs of him popping out early. So then i said well in that case can we discuss a home birth as i have always previously been told no but i cant see any reason for me not to ba able to give birth at home as both previous deliveries were normal and babies were healthy. Very much to my surprise he said YES i cant see a problem with that at all on the condition that i go to hospital if anything happens before 37wks. he wished me a happy and relaxing home birth :grouphug::dance: so he has gone from public enemy no #1 to my best friend
P.S bubs is currently weighing in at 6lbs @ 34wks so looking at a 9lber by my reconing OUCH!!!!:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Lou - Thank you. ..I'd forgotton about that until you reminded me. I'll never look at a muppet in the same way ever again!
It was me that said about the counselling being beneficial , I loved mine although I cried lots I never really knew why i was there. Funnily enough I was receiving c/s when i returned to work after depression and I was bullied straightaway , the c/s taught me a "game" to do when it was happening...i still use it today. It's all about how you look at / handle things. We carry too of other peoples problems around with us.
On the thread recently someone said about their friends and how crappy they had been (hypno was it you?) Sorry memory like a sieve I read it and then its gone..anyway...just wanted to comment on the fact that I've lost what i thought were my best friends just because of becoming pregnant. 2 of them, jealousy i suppose although they have children already too just like me, some people don't like it that you have a magical time going on in your life, a time that maybe they cant have again (through choice etc). (although it also could be to do with the fact that they both came on to me ..but lets not go there!!!)....I look at it that friendships come and go, you can be good friends with someone for 2 weeks, years or decades or luckily for some life. I see if they contact me soon.I emailed them at 12 weeks pregnant theres been nothing since , a one word reply..we'll soon find out.0 -
Hooray! Great news xmaslolly! Glad you got the outcome you wanted! and i'm very jealous of your homebirth, do you need to buy a birthing pool, i've got a la bassine one to sell seeing as my birth won't be at home any more! it's brand new and has all the kit!0
