They just refused to reopen the dispute and blamed me for their losing the fax I sent.

I'm going to cry. £129 isn't a huge sum of money, but the transaction was not authorised and was actually illegal, and the guy on the phone blamed me for giving them my card number in the first place - they took it from the back of the cheque we paid for the wedding with. It was a required cheque guarantee number.

Shower curtain ??? have i missed something ?? lol

Would u rather the mess was on your carpet?

If it was me - I'd buy a new shower curtain for the shower and use the one in the shower to put on the floor :money:

You could just get some DIY style plastic sheeting

SS - bu66ers! I would do it all in writing if I was you.

SS have you contacted the police at all and reported it as theft/fraud. The bank cannot just ignore the fact that the money was taken illegally. Get on the banking thread and see what advise they can give you. :-)

They dont actually tell me the weight but it is alwasy printed on the growth scans in grams you just need to convert it then, mine was 2742g which according to the internet calculator is roughly 6lbs. You should also have a growth chart in your notes that they plot at your midwife visits from the measurments they take from your bump that will also give you a rough idea of weight :-)

I'll have to check that out when I get home, my notes are there as well but I know that the little circle was within range (phew!)

    Hello :)

Loads to reply to so forgive the big post, and if I've missed anyone out. Obviously welcome to newbies (especially Gravitytolls! Congrats!) labour vibes to those who need them, hugs to those who need them too.

And I haven't quoted but someone needed help with getting run dye out of clothes - my thread is on OS as nicki said, but basically I used the Dylon Colour Run remover which was great, then on the whites that were still a bit mint I used Milton. BUT refresh the Milton after 24 hours if you can;t wash them at that point as if you don;t then they go slightly yellow/cream.

    girls....need your advice.
im at hospital on friday and due date is monday -- will they do a membrane sweep for me??
I was induce with DD, but my appointment date was after my Due date wth her....!???

Not sure but why do you want to inude then? They can come any time up to 42 weeks and I think most babies do come by 41, so maybe wait a few days and it might happen naturally?
My midwife didnt mention the classes at my booking appt, I asked her again at my 20 week appt and got told 'You should have booked ages ago, they get full very quickly dont you know?' No actually, I dont know! This is my first baby so Im pretty clueless! If it wasnt for the net and you ladies I would be so lost, I really felt almost abandoned the first few months of my pregnancy.

I've felt like that all the way through! Even in labour! I felt I had to do all my own research in order to have the info I needed, and I still feel that now.

An example is the breastfeeding info leaflet I've been given, which has NO useful info in it whatsoever and if it was all I had then I'd have given up by now (I have thrush :( Things are painful at the moment although we are persevering with treatment and Lilia is doing OK with latch still so I can bear the pain if I can keep her BFing).

    Hi everyone,

I am 34 weeks pregnant with baby No. 4 (have 3 boys already, aged 8, 4 and 2), and have been told that we are having a little pink one this time!

Just after a bit of advice really, I have been to my midwife this morning and I am only measuring 28 weeks pregnant, although I am 34 weeks. Has anyone else had anything like this? I have a growth scan today at 3.40pm, but I am worrying myself sick.

    xx

I was measuring small. I was tending to measure 1.5cms below my weeks cms if you get me, so at 34 weeks I was 32.5cms when I 'should' have been 34cms.

I had growth scans which showed all was well, and to reassure myself I measured my own fundal height at home and checked not on how big it was but whether it was getting bigger each week, which it was. As long as you have around 1cm of growth a week then you will be fine. I actually had a growth spurt at weeks 34 and 35 when it grew 2.5 and 1.5 cms a week and then settled down to 1cm each week thereafter, so I knew it was OK even before the second growth scan.

Try not to worry, they do like to scare you! Might be worth finding out your families' histories of birth weights, as we knew no-one in my family was ever over 6lbs, so I wasn;t expecting a bruiser, and in fact she is hte bigges the family has had for a while!

6lb with a pointy head and slim shoulders is what I was aiming for!!!

I got one of those :D It's why the MW didn;t manage to catch her! (I like teasing you all with bits of my birth stoy, but I promise I will write it up at some point.)

Can you use witch hazel on C-section stitches to heal faster? Went a-googling after midwife said baby was transverse, really shouldn't have:o
If he doesn't turn I'll need a section. Already bought the witch hazel, don't want it to go to waste:rotfl:

Think you can;t use it on open wounds - my MW told me not to get any near my tear when I'm using it on my piles (which seems to be amking a real differenced by the way).

Hi girls and congratulations to the proud new parents. :j

I think my name needs to be removed from the EDD list, had an early scan yesterday after some cramping which showed nothing very much and what could be seen was alot smaller than what my dates would be.
I'm supposed to go back again on Monday for repeat scan to see if any growth but today the cramping is more severe and just had some dark staining.

Not looking like this little bean is going to stay with us. I'll pop back every now and again and will let you know for sure what is happening, been nice while it lasted....hopefully I will be able to join you again in the not too distant future.x

    Oh I'm so sorry

However, I PM'd Weezl this morning who said she started Calcium at 39 weeks (a bit late in her opinion) so she doubled the RDA dose. So I will probably look at doing this in my last week.

I would agree. Because of the cost of the tablets I decided to wait till week 40 to take it, expecting baby to be late. In the end I took it for a day and then during early labour and it did pretty much nothing in my opinion so I'd definitely take it earlier. I wish I had.

Phew! That's it! I think. Sorry if I've missed anyone out.

We are well. Lilia's cord dropped off yesterday (day 7) which is a relief to be honest as the little brown stump was a bit minging, although obviously I've kept it for her memory box along with her first ever p[rescription in her name (for thrush treatment). :o

Had my osteopath out today for a home visit and that was so fab - feel a lot better now and have booked her to come back in a fortnight to help me unkink even more.

Right, I'm off for a nap now while my little one sleeps as the afternoons she usually feeds loads and I don;t really get any time off in between them as by the time she is off the breast it's almost time for her to go back on! At least it means she's getting lots of nutrition but it's hard work doing baby-led feeding.

    Hope everyone is well.

BRILLIANT news Xmas!!! I loved my home birth and would definitely not have wanted to be in hospital. Not sure if you've had one before but if you want to know what kind of stuff I had in and used please just ask.

Oh and Hypno - hoe you get that date! That's the special one you wanted isn't it? So exciting it is getting close now!

Glam, xmas, a friend of mine's a solicitor so we're just passing it all on to her. I've not made a police complaint because I think I have to be in the UK to do it but we might need a crime reference number in which case I'll call them and see if I can do it by phone.

I've just put a bunch of chips in the oven to comfort myself and may have a little weep too. It was unbelievable, the guy was telling me it was all my own fault.

And the infant's excessively quiet, just moving barely enough to let me know she's there.
