xmas start triaging the laundry - anything that has only been worn once and is rewearable, just put it on the washing line and then back into their bedrooms. They'll never notice the difference (maybe if you mix a minute amount of laundry powder with water in a spray bottle and spritz everything the smell will further confuse them). And give each one a specific chore whenever you're doing one. They should be helping you.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Hi all.
Quick question whilst I wait for tea to cook.
Are you all fairly sure of your due dates? I have been thinking about it following last weeks scan that showed baby is huge. The date of last period calculation and the first 2 scans show baby as due 22nd Sept. My earliest possible date for that month is 2nd Oct. If was previous month (with slightly lighter period) due date would be 31 Aug. Scan last week showed bubs was 33+4 at exactly 31 weeks (according to original date) and bubs is 4lb 6 oz instead of the average of 3lb according to the book. Bear in mind that I started this pregnancy at under 8 stone so I'm not exactly big and neither is her dad.
Is it possible that we have all got our dates wrong by that much and could this baby be due end August or am I just winding myself up over nothing?
Massive hugs beenie, please try not to worry about doing it on your own. You have done it alone once before and did a cracking job. This is my first time, dad legged it ages ago and I'm not in the slightest bit worried about anything other than the birth itself. Obviously it helps that I know dad would be completely useless and she is better off with no-one than someone who doesn't want her.
We will both be perfectly good enough on our own, and don't let anyone make you feel you won't be. I'm here if you need a chat anytime. xxx

Hypno - I would be pretty p***ed off too if I were you, but there is no point in getting too upset about it. It's just the way some people are, so they won't be bothering being upset about it, why should you? It's not nice, but you have more important things to think about now so don't bother with them. At least some of your friends have bothered. I don't expect presents from most of my friends, even though I have bought their babies presents at birth and Christmases! It's just the way they are - a bit thoughtless, but not intentionally.
Beenie - hugs to you too. You know you are better off without him and you are strong enough to do it on your own.
Beccam - so sorry that it's not good news. Hope to see you back here again soon. Take care.
I see Kate Garraway had a baby boy today. I think it was Sami who used to post celebrity birth stories! It's on BBC website anyway if anyone is interested.

Thanks sugar never thought about doing that i will give it a go. They do do chores and normally with out complaining but its vicoius circle as they just make more mess i cant seem to get it through their heads that if they tidy up as they go along they wouldnt have to spend half the day doing it and would have more time for fun stuff. Other half is going to get it in the neck in the morning as well the new baby cot is not a bl**dy clothes horse.
I am going to take a leaf out of you lovely ladies books and start making a daily list as well that way i have something to focus on, 5 small jobs each day dont seem as daunting as a whole house in one go:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -

I did that earlier this week, plotting out what needs to be done over the next few weeks and when I'd do it, in manageable chunks like a revision timetable. In fact exactly like a revision timetable, as I've done none of what I said I would do this week so far, and there is far too much to be able to catch up before the end of the week.
So I think what I will in fact be doing from now until delivery day is redrafting my list of things to do over and over, and getting increasingly stressed that the house still isn't getting into tip top order0 -

I found that when I was posting my daily lists here I was getting much more done from them - it feels like there's something about saying to other people, Today I will do these things, that makes it official that you have to do them. I stopped doing it because someone complained about seeing them, but we could make a Nesting Thread for people to feel a bit more accountable.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

There is a flylady thread over on Old Style where people post these kinds of lists and give encouragement to those who are flagging.
Personally I find reading a list of someone else's household errands significantly less riveting than watching paint dry, and as this thread is so long anyway, and has so many posts per day, I think it would kill the thread completely if everyone started doing it. If it was a spin off thread at least those who have no interest in this kind of thing, can filter it out easily0 -
Well Niki i have done a to do list for everyone in the house tomorrow we all have no more than 4 things to get on with and one of those is a mountian of clothes to be put away that we will all do together so fingers crossed it is not unacheiveable. although i have just had a text of the OH wingeing and i can feel my blood boiling already ;-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0
