I havent heard from my employees yet since i wrote to them with dates etc, 28 days is up on monday. Do you know if you can legally work up until your due date, I have said I want to but want to be prepared if they say I cant, but cant see anywhere where it says I cant, pls help xx
I would send a polite email reminding them that you've nto had it - that's what I had to do when I changed my date.
I think your mat leave has to start on a Sunday unless you are off sick in the 4 weeks before baby is due and they can insist u start it then. I originally said this and my employer agreed (start ML on Sunday, due on Tuesday) but said I would need another work risk assessment as I was working up to due date.
Am soooooooooooooooooooooo glad I'm not working that long now! :jA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
nanc, you can legally work up to your due date, you cannot be working on your due date, that's the latest your mat leave can start.0

Cheers, I've said what dates I want to start finish, I was intending to finish on my due date.. isnt it my decision to work it or not though regardless of mat leave pay start date, also waiting to hear on annual leave.. grrrrReceived £2,626.00 in PPI -2013:j
Received £1400 charges - 2006:j0 -
nanc - by law you cannot be in work on your due date but when you finish beforee then is up to you, anytime after 29 weeks you're free to go on Mat leave whenever0

Afternoon girls, still not managed to get up to speed, feel like Im sinking here!! After I posted yesterday to say I was going to try catch up the phone rang..it was my daughters friend who she was in town with..said she'd (my daughter) fallen over and put her tooth through her lip  could hear her crying in background. So I jumped in the car to go pick her up,fully expecting to go straight to hospital with her. Luckily, it wasn't as bad as that, her friend had exaggerated abit but her face was/is a mess..from the bridge of her nose to her chin is all scraped and was bleeding. They were leapfrogging over concrete bollards in town trying to impress some boys  and she forgot to move her hands so she went face first onto the floor. She's very lucky she hasn't broken or knocked any teeth out I think!
So....I didn't manage to catch up and Ive been at work today so still not up to speed. Will try now but going out soon to pick hubs up from work at 5 then were taking the kids to see Harry Potter. Hope everyones good.love my little man he is amazing :j0 -
