Thanks everyone - I'm starting to feel better after my very naughty cup of coffee. On my list for today I have to go to work and organise some paperwork stuff, and I have to go pick up an ergonomic keyboard (free, Christmas present for Husband) at midday. I also need to organise an appointment with the doctor who'll deliver the baby, but his office isn't picking up the phone so far.
Sorry to whine - you all have pains and discomforts and things to worry about and important stuff to do today as well, and here's me whinging nonstop. Sorry - let's all have a wonderful optimistic day!Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Hypno - best of luck today. Hope everything gets sorted out for the best for you and baby! It's tough going up against the consultant - I always feel a bit like I'm talking back to my parents or something when I disagree with the consultant. LOL
I completely agree, I feel like the naughty schoolgirl giving the headteacher backchat!
But backchat is what she'll get today if I can't get my way! I do think i might be fighting a losing battle but at least i can give it a damn good try0 -

Yes thanks. He got back on Friday, and we've had a nice weekend. It was his birthday on Saturday, but that was quite low key as I wasn't sure how tired he would be after travelling for a week, and an overnight flight on Thursday night/Friday morning. We're off out tomorrow night instead to the theatre - and am starting to wonder how I'll manage with 3 hours in a small chair with only one loo break :rolleyes:0 -
Good luck Hypno - I hope you can get what you want.
SS - hope you're feeling better. Your various anecdotes have me a bit scared of late preg, to be honest!
skinty - thanks for logging on to share with us!! it's good to have an honest account of those 1st few days. Hope Lilia gives you a break soon so you 2 can have a rest (and so we can hear your birth story, hehe)
Fitzio - you must've bought the only grobags restocked in the Next sale, as they're gone again! I did grab a M&P changing bag that had been restocked - after harping on about Etsy this weekend, but I want to have a couple and that will be my 'neutral' one that DH can carry too. Will still get gorgeous patterned one from Etsy as my fashionable changing bag later!!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!

Aless, don't be worried - a lot of the weird stuff that's going on with me is because of my family history - clearly since I exist and have relatives we manage live births, but most of the pregnancies are really difficult, and also I'm only really tiny so my belly's harder to move around.
I contacted an Etsy seller and she'll make a bag with a waterproof pouch for wipes and a larger waterproof pouch to store a dirty reusable nappy in. I'm so tempted!
I'm determined to feel better about the next week. It's a maximum of ten days to go. I can manage anything for ten days, and at the end of it we're going to have a little baby girl! Didn't get back on yesterday evening, so think i've missed NMS, but good luck anyway.
Have been getting loads of Braxton Hicks, one after the other. It is so uncomfortable. Doing it now, whilst in work, very hard to concentrate.
Have dropped DS off at his Football School this morning. He is going from 9am-3pm everyday this week. He thinks hes going to be like Ronaldo by the Friday. I am just paranoid that with OH's current sleeping sickness, he will fall asleep and miss picking him up at 3pm.
On the nappy front, whilst sorting out the nursery this weekend, I have discovered that i have acquired 11 packs of newborn nappies, (majority are Sainsburys own, when they were on offer at £1 each pack). And have just one large pack of No. 2 nappies. I am hoping for a small baby, like DS, so these should all get used. Also have about 15 packs of wipes now.0 -
I have a TMI question... Been losing bits of my plug for ages now (looked like large bogies) but this morning when I got up I wiped away loads (3 or 4 wads of paper was needed) of thick gloopy mucus. Is that just more plug? No BH at the moment just a low down period pain ache thats making me want to rock.0
