Little girly H has two middle names and my surname and Madison, Lilia and Evie are some of the few that don't sound awkward when put either with all three or just surname. Have a couple more and 8ish weeks to go through the book again.
xxxx
This is the first of many posts trying to reply to things. sorry oif there's loads but I'nm trying to do it while OH tries to get Lilia to stop crying
I wondered why you decided ion Lilia? We chose it from Lilia Kopylova off Strictlybut thought we were pretty uniue so I'm interested in what inspirted you.

Still here, it must just have been the heat or something causing the contractions but they're gone again. I've still got backache and the miscreant's head is so low that I've been reliably informed that I'm not getting any further prostaglandins till the child is evicted and I am healed. Apparently it freaks him out that he can feel both head and dilation from the inside, so to speak. I laughed at him till I almost wet myself, but to be fair I can see his point.
my Oh was freaked out by just my bump being able to kick! Your OH can feel you r dilation?!?!?!!? and the head?!?!!? :eek::cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

newmoneysaver wrote: »Well back from hospital - had monitoring and a swab taken. My waters have gone, so I'm on countdown for things to start - if not I have to go back at 9:30 tomorrow morning. I didn't have any more trickles while at the hospital, but popped into Mum's on the way home to let her know what's happening. Was sat down for about 1/2 and had a bit of a gushier trickle when I got up to leave - I had to send hubby out to car for a change of underwear
I'm at home now - got DS on charge, phone on charge and ipod on charge - all in preparation. I've got the hot water on incase I need/want a bath later and sent hubby out for some cash, magazine, bread and chocolateHe's also getting a chinese on way back. Still not really felt anything, I thought I felt lower bit of bump tighten for a few seconds, but not pain as yet.
Fingers crossed that things start naturally tonight - I won't be able to use the comfy mid-wifery led room or the birthing pool if I have to be induced.
Oh, and apologies for the queue jumping :j:rotfl:
too lat enow I guess, but you can refuse the induction and don;t have be on the clock - the risk of infection increases once your waters have broken, yes, but only from 0.5% to 1%. It may be double but it's still atiny risk of getting an infection, and they don;t say what th odds are thereafter of hte infection being an issue. When i post my BS, I will mention why I didn;t tell them when my waters broke, and later when asked lied about when they did to ensure I didn;t encounter any iundction.
NICE guidelines used to be you could go 96 hours safely, now most trusts say 24, some 48, but if they used to say 96 that's what I'd be working to as within that timne I'd imagine most people would then go into labour and if you didn;t you would want help by then I reckon.
Hope that helps.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Sorry I've not been around but being a mummy is very time consuming
Update for those that were asking about FIL - He's still in hospital and they're still running tests to find out what's going on, but hopefully it's not as bad as everyone first thought.
Anyway, I'm going to make the move over to the parents thread although will probably still lurk here when time allows, but before I go a picture of my beautiful baby girl.
Hope all your pregnancies go smoothly and see you on the other side :T
How do you get your baby, who is GORGEOUS by the way, to sleep peacefully alone on her back??? Lilia won;t go on her back, and won;t sleep unless she is being held by one of us. As yu can imagine, we are not getting much sleep! hints and tips please!!!:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Don't be tempted by liquid calcium in H&B, they describe it as delicious - I'd describe it as vile!! I didn't even manage to swallow one spoonful
efrieze mentioned some homeopathic thing in her birth story, maybe worth finding out seing as you want to go before induced
I used RLT it worked fabulously, my MWs were all astonished at how quickly my uterus shrank, after pains were painful but not as bad as some have described them, not sure if that is just my luck or if RLT made them less painful but they really weren't bad I did take paracetamol a few times but they were gone pretty quickly
I'm still having the odd cup of RLT from the fridge, tis yum!
When the Mw examined me on I think it was Friday, day 3 anyway, she said my uterus was way smaller than she'd expect for day 3. I did not do RLT at all, so maybe it is just luck of hte draw? I am am Bfing though, lots and lots as I'm doing baby-led and sometimes the feeds are on the hour for three or four hours. Maybe that is the key?
My afterpains were only like a period, too, and only for one day, since then I've only had slight feelings which are not really pain, and I don;t think I've even had that since yesterday or the day before )they have gelled into one!).:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

I had saved Skinty's links but I think she may have got them from Weezl as there were some the same.
I'll post my plan of action tomorrow!!!!
Yes they were from weexl - I didn'd ifnd all of her original links. I did take some calcium before the labour and during the latent stage but I don;t know if it helped - I think the pain was pretty damn bad to be honest, but perhaps it owuld have been worse without? I took 2000mg a day whchih was 8 tablets. I'd wanted tot ake it from 38 weeks but hte amount I'd have had to spend on tablets meant I didn;t so perhaps it wasn ;t as effective as it could have been. I think weezl took it more an thought it had helped her.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

I bought 10 packs of newborn size with 27 in. Caitlyn is 2 weeks old and I opened my fourth pack yesterday! But she poos ALL the time!
We used 30 newborn nappies in just over three days. OH had to buy more today (day 4). We can't use our washables right now cos Lilia is too small to fit in them so we are using disposables. We had huggies ones but they are scratchy and too big, so we tried a free sample of Pampers new baby ones from the Bounty pack and they are perfect for her and soooo much softer too, as well as much easier to put on.
They do go through a lot of nappies but it doesn;t feel a lot at the time, at least not to us.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j
