:rotfl: guess I'm the only one on at this time of stupid o'clock?

that's having a baby for you! Last night she wentoff around 3am after a feed, for about 3 hours of sleep, so I'm hoping that next feed will see her end her crying jag and settle down for a while.

Mind you, I do feel better tonight about all the late night crying after getting out of the house for a walk round the block earlier, clutching my mobile for the call to come back and be a dairy cow again.

Think being copped up gets very bad for you - amazed how much better I feel. sorry I know this is thew wrong thread but i feel safe here - can;t cop with changing over to the parents one just yet :o

Skinty - glad you're doing well - I know the sleep deprivation can be taxing and being stuck inside the house only seems to make it worse! Glad you were able to get out and get a little fresh air to put everything back into perspective and feel a bit normal again. As far as your LO only sleeping when sleeping ON someone, seems to me I recall DS2 going through that for a few days, then he settled into sleeping in the cot again. I'm not sure what prompted it though. Maybe it's just a normal stage they go through here and there? Hope she settles for you soon!

Hi everyone, thanks for all the replies about nappies. I hadnt thought about how shops would probably exchange them if we end up with wahey too many so I think I will get a good few packs so we dont feel underprepared!!

Well this is wayyyyy early for me to be up, I normally struggle to get up anywhen before 8am, so maybe its my bodys way of preparing me for when baby is here :) I just could sleep, nor could DH I dont think. Wish Id watched more Prison Break before we went to sleep now, hehe. Found my arms were going dead when led on my side and hips getting a bit sore too, and Ive not got a very big bump at 24+6, so god knows what I will be like when bump gets bigger.

Oh well I might try and go back to bed for an hour, see if I can have a snooze. Dogs dont know what to make of me being up this early and being so quiet so I dont disturb DH, lol!!

    xx

I sent DH into town to relax for a bit. He's been walking around, looking at me like I'm a time bomb ready to go off, expecting me to launch into labour/contractions at any moment. I think he needs to de-stress for a bit. So he's off to run a few errands (didn't NEED to be done, but were convenient to ask him to go to town), have a coffee, and browse around a bit. It'll do him a world of good.

How do you get your baby, who is GORGEOUS by the way, to sleep peacefully alone on her back??? Lilia won;t go on her back, and won;t sleep unless she is being held by one of us. As yu can imagine, we are not getting much sleep! hints and tips please!!!

Skinty - In all honesty I have no idea this picture was taken within a few hours of her being born and she seems to like sleeping this way although sometimes she does like to go onto her side and I keep rolling her back :D

    Morning ladies, bumps and babies!

Skinty- lovely to hear your tales of parenthood! One of the things that really worries me about parenthood is feeling stuck at home, so I know I will have to make a real effort to try and get outside every day. Well done you for having a little break, even if it was only a walk.

Tink- I'm loving the blankets/ shawls in your pic. Were they bought or made for you? If they were bought, do you know where from? TIA.

Well, I'm officially on holiday from today...yippee. Except I have to work tomorrow, 7-3 but then it's not like I'm six months present so really need a break from work...grrrrr!!!!!

Off to the opticians in a minute, which will not doubt cost a fortune as I know I need the lenses in my glasses replaced, then off to drop off four bags of OH's stuff at a charity shop. He's had such a massive clear out, I am most impressed.

Sending lots of easy labour vibes to NMS and anyone else who needs them x x

not sure if i heard it right got-it-spend-it, but i think i read your not meant to change glasses/lenses in pregnancy because your eyes change for some reason, better waiting till afterwards if possible to see if go back to the way they were or whether they stay the same, could be wrong tho haha.

I'd heard that too, but when I phoned up they said it was fine! They are a bit dopey at my opticians though so I'll see what they say today.
