Good luck Tia - and NMS, I think I was too bleary this morning when I first posted to remember to say it. I'm off back to bed now after a brief trip out (ergonomic keyboard and mini foldable wine rack both for €5), a litre of orange juice (hoping to induce dia woo woo or at least some sort of movement in that direction), a handful of capsules/pills and a baked potato with cheese and crunchy onions.
Happy and productive afternoon to you all!Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Had my scan today, got told off for not drinking enough water. Silly me woke up exhausted and went straight to loo (duh) but it was too late to down loads of water. Plus i'm sure i've read that they don't need a full bladder at 20 weeks so i wasn't too worried!
Anyway, i have to go back in 2 weeks (:() for another go. Baby showed up really clearly, i could see that it had legs firmly crossed though, but she said she managed to move the legs slightly and thinks it could be a girl.
I'm not going to rely on that until the next scan when hopefully they'll see better, but then i think, if it really was unclear then she'd have said nothing at all(?).
Anyway i'm shocked as i was convinced (and hoping) it was a boy, but i'm not gutted it's prob a girl.0 -
Back from the hospital, looks like my c-section date will change and be sooner than the 11th August one i have at the moment, don't know when yet but i'll get a call and a letter letting me know so i just have to wait.
I explained my concerns to her about being seperated from the baby after the c-section and it doesn't look like the hospital are going to back down in any way on this but i have requested that i'm moved from the recovery ward to the postnatal ward as soon as possible, and this has been put on my notes, so hopefully i shouldn't be apart from the baby for more than 20/30 minutes as long as my recovery goes ok. I get to have the baby on my chest while they stitch me up and then i'm taken to the recovery ward and OH and baby go off together so he can carry on with the skin to skin. I can't say i'm looking forward to that bit because I know i'll cry and then i'll be stuck on a ward alone sobbing to myself. I just have to keep reminding myself that it's only 30mins and it'll be over before i know it.
She also said that unless i bleed again I don;t have to be admitted into hospital befor ethe c-section which I'm pleased about, when i left the hospital last week the docs had said i would definitely be in from 36 weeks to the c-section date but my consultant says she doesn't agree and that i'm ok to be at home, well i'm a lot more relaxed at home, that's for sure.
I can't believe i'm going to meet my little boy in less than 2 weeks, it seems so soon, the section will probably be next week, in theory it could even be this week but it'll probably be next week, I'm having a baby!!!!!!!!!!:eek:0 -

Wow lots of pages to read through lol I will get on that now after this post.
I went to what I thought was going to be my booking appointment this morning with OH (had to use his own time) what it actually was was a session with other pregnant couples, apparantly my PCT has just introuduced it to be this way?
Basically the midwife spoke to us about do's and dont's and gave us our maternity packs and told us to make another appointment where it will infact be our booking appointment.
I am off work on wed (my birthday yay lol), thurs and fri and OH is off on wed and fri.
Our booking appointment is thursday (sods law!) at 2.30pm
OH's boss has said he will not allow OH to be off on Wed and Fri and to leave early on thurs
I am getting pretty !!!!ing sick of his boss already!
So OH doesnt know what to do, he can swap Friday off and be off thurday instead? or he can just not come to the booking appointment.
I dont really want to go by myself, but I Dont want to force him to come if he isnt really needed?
I am just concerned about future appointments, I dont drive, and we live about 30 mins drive away from work (or two buses for 1 hour 50 mins) I am just imagining his work being a pain all through this pregnancy and me having trouble getting to appointments from work/to work from appointments
Anyway my main question is, does OH need to be there for the booking appointment? (I am off work anyway so getting there isnt a problem)
We have our maternity pack and the M/W asked us to fill some of it in before we/I go.Debt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

My pad is dry so I'm guessing I'm just incontinent
Very crampy and tender though. Getting tightenings but they are painless and I don't notice unless I have a feel, which is strange as my BH have been painful!
Haven't phoned DH because I don't want him running home for nothing or driving a bus with his mind thinking about me (nice as that would be but he'd no doubt hit a bus stop)
DS2 is passed out on my bed, he insisted that I lay down for a cuddle with him, he went and got his quilt, we cudddled and he started snoringSo I put the tumble dryer on (its in my bedroom) and left him to it, he seems to be sleeping through it!
I take it back, the tightenings are painful when I am sitting down! owch!
Hypno, at least DH gets to do some skin to skin, it's still crap that baby is taken away though! Seems more like punishment, did they give a reason for it?0 -
kindof - obviously it's up to you, but booking in appointment is really just a bunch of boring paperwork that the midwife has to go over with you and fill out, mostly about your medical history. I told DH not to fuss over it, so since he works nights, I let him sleep through it. I preferred having him come to later appointments when he could hear the heartbeat and the most recent appointments where birth options and considerations were being discussed, as I felt that info was much more important for him to be part of. If it's going to aggravate his boss getting time off for appointments, perhaps it's better to save aggravating his boss for later, more eventful appointments. Just a thought.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0

Thanks for that triggles
Yeah your right, I think OH is just more annoyed as his boss is off from monday for a whole month and her reason for him not being off is there is "stuff" to do before she goes off, which to be honest I dont think is fair lol
But I have my maternity pack and health forms to fill in before I go on thursday so I will ask him the info I need from him.Debt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)
