baby is 3/5 engaged, im none the wiser if thats good or not haha, my blood pressure went up a tad and babies heartbeat is a bit less than last time but she didnt seem concerened. cant beleive its actually going to happen ........... soon !!!0 -
WM, I'll just use plain old blankets and shawls for swaddling too tight to buy anything else.
Well, boys clothes, swimming stuff, towels, wellies, games, DVD's (for the car) and DH's clothes all sat on the bed to be packed up for their camping trip tonight. Someone tell me that DS2 will not freeze to death or come back with pneumonia or get attacked by a wild bear (in southerness, dumfries). I did all this when DS1 went last year but DS2 is my baby and delicate and I'm a rather overprotective mum with him at times!
Bump is still sore.0 -
Oooh how exciting Natalie
no idea what 3/5 engaged means but I'm sure someone will soon tell you.
Tia - DS2 will be fine. No need to worry. I am sure your DH will look after them for you.Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)
Floyd Peter arrived 9th July 2011 (1 day early)0 -
Hi Nicki - how are you getting on?
OK (ish) thanks. DH is back in the country, though I haven't seen him yet as he got off an 8 hour overnight flight, had a shower in the airport and went straight into work . He's promised to be back in time for tea with the kids tonight though, which he never is during the week, and its going to be :j:j:j to see him.
Still not sleeping or eating well, and finding day to day life more difficult to cope with than I should be, but am seeing both the OBGYN and the psychiatrist in about 10 days time, and am going to try and get myself sorted out with a confirmed c section and some focused help to get me on top of my stress levels beforehand. All I need now is some help with DD's care towards the end of the holidays, and my life will be sorted0 -
NMS- Happy last day of work. And i'm not at all Jealous. Much.
Needed to go post office at lunch, so waddled to local area near work, where the shops are. On the way back went into Local baby shop. OMG, how expensive. Fantastic array of Prams and great if you are wanting to go see what they look like in real life, but everything seemed to be extortionate in price. I know you should support local businesses, but i'd rather support my bank balance and buy online. They had some gorgeous stuff, but wow, i'm gobsmacked. Now i definately know why i have avoided going in there.
I am wanting a baby bag, have the boots free one, but want something else. See i say want, not need. I like the Skip hop Duo Deluxe, as it has loads of pockets but they're £50.00 (also very prettypatterns). I can't justify that, so not MSE. Anyone else got any recommendations? or are we all sticking to the boots one?0 -

flat cotton pram sheets (or folded cot sheets) are great for swaddling, particularly when the weather is a bit warmer, and you can use them for their proper purpose for months afterwards, so really MSE. I can't now remember how long I swaddled my two for, but I can't think it was longer than about 3 weeks, if that.0 -
'fraid I am off to get some work cleared off my desk in anticipation of the busy next couple of weeks.
Take care all you lovely ladies with bumps (and those who have had their babies):wave:Tegan Lily arrived 4 November 2009 (3 days late)

:o I've got three (not counting the one I have in the loft left over from DS and DD!)
The first is the Boots freebie one, which I'm going to pack with a full pack of disposable nappies and wipes and leave in the boot of the car so we don't get caught short when out and about.
The second one to be bought isn't actually a dedicated changing bag, but a rather nice canvas Liz Claiborne tote shoulder bag in red and blue stripes, which I got from TK Maxx. It matches the colour of the pushchair, is fun and trendy when out and about, has two compartments to separate nappies from food and personal stuff, and the free folding changing mat got with my Sainsbury freebie set fits and matches it perfectly. I'll have no problems with using it later as a shoulderbag.
The third was an impulse buy from TK Maxx again. I can't find it online so think the manufacturer may have gone out of business but it's black with a hard shell and has a changing mat and waterproof pack for wipes. The plan is to keep this one fully stocked and tucked away downstairs so that a quick change can be done downstairs if I can't leave the other two kids for any reason to take baby upstairs to the bathroom to be changed. That was decadent though and I wouldn't have bought the third one if it hadn't looked really smart and been dirt cheap at a time when I was buying other baby stuff in the shop0 -
Thanks WM (and why don't we have a ner-ner smiley?)
Hi Natalie  I have a MW appointment the day before my due date too! It's just the way my landed because they only do the appointments on a Monday. 3/5 engaged is good - my bubba wasn't engaged at my last MW appoint, last Monday.
Nicki - Glad you feeling a little better - I bet you can't wait for DH to get home - can't believe he went straight into work!!
Tia - I'm sure your DS will be fine - try not to worry about him - concentrate on relaxing in the piece and quiet.
Karen - Glad your feeling better too!
ETA - the two sleeping bags I have both, have a minimum weight - so it'll be dependent on the size of Bubs if we can use it straight away0 -
Ha, the campsite is fully booked because it has became a park dean park. Hmm....0
