Glam - it's amazing how quickly men do an about face when the deadline shortens. DH is in "omg get it all done now" mode - it hit yesterday when he realised induction was a week away. lol

    God a week

Our house is a tip cos OH just hordes things and never ever throws anything out - there is 2 of us in a big 3 bed house and every room is bursting except the living room and dining room!

Here's an example, he's car was going in for MOT so he took all the crap out of the boot. It's been left in the downstairs loo for over a week and he won't sort it out! I have to climb over it when I need a pee and can't be bothered to go upstairs!

I'm not saying much at the mo as he has interview today, meeting about a job tomorrow and then another interview on Tuesday so don't want to stress him out but at the same time, I don't want it to end up with him starting a job in a few weeks and then me having to do everything when I'm on mat leave!

Glam short is the way forward! I cut my hair real short about 6 years ago and I've never looked back!! I have quite a lot of hair but it's really fine so it never looked how i wanted it to when it was long. now it's really short and i love it!!

Our new house has been empty a little while and I'm really hoping it hasn't been overrun with spiders! I'm feeling quite nervous and jumpy at the moment anyway so I don't think I can cope with an infestation of 8-legged freaks!!

Morning all, cant believe how awake I feel even though I got to bed late..

    I'm 27 weeks today yeyy....

Bleeping lady in the spa last night looked at me and said "your having a girl", I said "umm well maybe but I'm having a 4d scan to check next week" she said "no trust me your having a girl" jezzzzzzzzz why couldnt she just shut up.. first time i'd ever seen her and only wanted some milk and milk shake.. and she had a beard thats just wrong!

Had aqua natal last night, which was good, and I'm also swimming tonight with a friend, finally had to knock the running on the head feel a failure, but i was starting to get bad stitch like pains, meaning I was walking most of it..

Bump getting big but I feel ok, put on 13lb now, and I really think it has all gone on the bump, i look like I have a football stuffed up there..

As mentioned last night got some right bargains on M&S website for babygrows, I've been stock piling in all their sales, some of it works our cheaper than e-bay and brand new good quality..

Right back to work and I need a cup of tea..

nancmat - congrats on 27wks! don't feel bad about switching from running to swimming - it's still healthy, just lower impact really. Oh, people who insist they know what we're having drive me nuts!! I usually say "well, it's either a boy or a girl - so it's not like you're psychic - it's a 50/50 chance" and shrug. Usually stops 'em. :rotfl:

Sarah J - oh I hate spiders as well! we've been pretty lucky here, but I hated those big fast ones in Devon!!

Glam - sections of our house are a tip, others aren't so bad. this weekend is the "big clean" here.

Thanks Triggles... I did see a psychic before I was preggs, just in passing in a shop and she told me I was going to have a son by Christmas and it would be my only child.. I wasnt trying at the time and never have as we didnt want children, but when contraception failed I got it in my head it was a boy... hence 4D scan next weekend to confirm all...

nancmat - don't feel a failure! I think you've done really well to keep going as long as you have! I've been too scared to go at all since I got my BFP! Although I wasn't a seasoned runner anyway.

Triggles - every time I had anything to tell my mum she'd butt in first with "You're pregnant?!" So when I went round to tell her that I was in fact pregnant she did the same thing, then when I said well yes actually I am, she was like "oh I knew it! see I told you I knew!" But although she was right that time she had been wrong the previous 50 times she'd said it so she wasn't quite as clued up as she thought she was!!

My hair has ranged between pixie short and chin length (which it is now) for probably the last 6 years. If I got too short (pixie style) then I look really young and need to wear make up! But if I go for a style in between the one you liked and the Rhianna one I might be OK.

    I hate Spids

OH flapping now cos he turned up for interview and they said he couldn't use car park! They didn't put that on letter so he's flappign trying to find a parking place now!

Sarah J - LOL! I suppose she figured if she kept asking, at SOME point you'd say yes!

  • Nanc - could you do run/walk? You could then adjust the intervals of each according to how you feel on the day? That way you'll still get some more intense periods of exercise but it won't be too much... (have to say I gave up running early - more out of laziness than anything else. am really looking forward to getting back into it)
Good luck with 4d scan btw - we found that it was great for the face but was a bit more difficult on the sex as it was by 28wks quite crowded in there so the legs were crossed. But hope you get an answer that's a bit more reliable than some lady in a spa!
