Has anyone else taken their existing kids to the 20wk scan? I'm going to be taking my DS and i know he'll sit quietly and patiently the whole time, but at my 12 wk scan i did notice a sign saying to keep children out of the room until the end of the scan. Just hoping they won't be horrible to us and make things awkward as i've told him he can come (he's 6)0

Hi Beenie.
My friend came with me, and no-one said anything about my 6month old god daughter being in there. Though she was good as gold. I'm sure that if you make sure he is as good as he can be no-one would be mean enough to make you leave him outside. If you are worried why not give them a ring?
Looks like I'm the early bird this morning. Got up for a wee at 3.30 and lay there staring at the ceiling ever since. Got my first ante-natal class this morning, so I'll go into work, pop out to the class and see how I feel before deciding whether to go back. I'm starting to wonder if I am further along than the doctors think. I'm so tired, everything aches and I had trouble getting my knickers and socks on this morning. And I've supposedly got another 8.5 weeks to go. Now, I know I'm not the fittest of people but surely I should still be able to get myself dressed without too much trouble. Poor bubs keeps getting squished everytime I reach for my feet!!!

Morning, I'm not first on today! Harley, I feel the same I don't know how I can go another 8/9 weeks without reaching bursting point. No room in there for anything, can't even eat a full meal, just lots of snacks. Had DD at 38 wks and she was 8lb15ozs but seriously hoping this wee dude is smaller.0

Forgot to reply to you this morning CSH as I was in a rush! I didn't know you were in Scotland. What side of Edinburgh are you? I am in Lanarkshire. Only time I went to Oban, it was torrential rain when we got there, so we just had a picnic in the car and drove home again! lol Will go again eventually though. There are so many places in Scotland that I haven't visited yet.
I'm in Bo'ness by the sea, if you know it? near to Falkirk, so the other side from you. We got the sun in Oban, got wee red cheeks and everything :rotfl:
Beenie- I took DD to our 20wk scan. I phoned the scan dept in advance and they said it wasn't a problem0 -
Hope you get your wish csh. My little girl is already estimated at 4lb 6oz so I'm panicing. Friend of mine had little lad at 35 weeks and he was under 4lb. I am so tired now, I've read the paper and was very nearly asleep on the sofa but I really need to get ready for work. Can't remember if there is anything important in my diary for today but I really think I'm going to have to come home later for a rest. Maybe working up until 4 days before she is due was a tad optimistic. Lol

csh, could it be related to early scans, where they don't want a child in the room to hear bad news? Or naughty children messing about while Mum's lying down and can't grab them? Call them and see.
Still no news from Skinty?
It's going to be 34 degrees today. I'm already melting and I have to go outside repeatedly
I'm being interviewed today for a radio program about being pregnant in a second language. Interesting, no? Also, today we're doing tax, admin and other dull stuff and I've just realised I don't own a dressing gown.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

lol Sugar.
Think the expert has taken most unused applications off my laptop in the hope of speeding up the dinosaur. Got some picture editor app though so I'll give that a try tomorrow. Off to watch a bit of tv for a while, bubs is not enjoying being pressed up against the edge of the dining table and is giving me a thorough kicking.

Hi,
I've just bought one of these http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00120818 it's great fits under the sofa cos ours has a gap underneath and it is much more comfy than having laptop on my knee!
Really bought it for next to the chair when feeding to put drink etc on, but am using it for laptop and as a more attractive granny type table at tea time lol.[0 -
Do it!! I like that! It's a bit like mine except mine is shorter0 -
Fairly quiet so far this morning!
I didn't sleep well last night, we are moving today and think there was too much running through my mind. I'm at work til lunchtime then off to pick up the van then I'm cleaning the old house while OH and 3 of his friends load up the van - no lifting for me!!
EA just seen your scan pic!! I'm really pleased for you. I was overwhelmed when I saw my bub's heartbeat so I'm so happy for you seeing yours!!
SS - hope you can keep cool-ish today. And good luck with your radio interview!!
Morning everyone else!
Harley - I was wondering yesterday whether you got a reply from m'care. Glad they compromised and gave you more than they originally said - great news too if you can sell the extra bits.0 -

Ha, I've nearly talked myself out of going short again!
I figured last night I could also buy an 'Alice Band' and just scrape it back out the way but then I end up looking a div and Alice Bands' hurt my head
Well, I kept OH up last night with my snoring! and he's got an interview this morning so was in a right bad mood cos he couldn't sleep!
I've been told in no uncertain terms its the spare room for me but I kno he'll be different later!
MASSIVE SPIDER in the bathroom last night and before OH got chance to whack it, it hid somewhere!
Have told him it's because house is so cluttered so am trying to get him into the 'Let's clear the house' mood but it's not working.
Think him hearing the consultant say 38 weeks - that's 7 weeks time has spurred him on abit!!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0
