ooh ooh ooh thats the one ive bought its fab ive had hauck pushchairs with all of mine and cannot say a bad word against them. If i had one complaint its that they dont make a base unit for the car seat other than that they last and last are compact an easy to use IMO :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
Thanks triggles that helps

Hi everyone, not posted in a few days but have been catching up with you all. Even had to stop on the way home and get spuds to make jackets when I got in because of you lot! I had LF tesco brand garlic and herb soft cheese and it was lovely, thinking I may even have to have the other one tonight.
Skinty - how exciting, I hope baby waits til everyone is back! It really brings home how quick the time has gone seeing that things may now be happening for you! :j
Kindof - I got a Mamas and Papas moses basket with stand for £11.55 on ebay. With my DD I didn't see the point of getting one as I just thought she could go in her cot. However, it was only a few days when I realised that the cot must have been too much of a wide open space for her as she would not sleep a wink in it so I hobbled off to town as quick as my stitched-up and sleep deprived body would let me and got the first one I saw! Finally she slept! I think a lot of babies need that safe cocoon feeling that a small crib/basket provides as a cot is just such a big thing compared with the snuggness of being in the womb.
Pookie - I hope you are OK, I've been thinking of you. Have you found the Relenza to be effective in any way? I hope it all clears up soon and then hopefully at least you will be relieved that you've had yours over and done with. Just one bit of advice (but not medical advice obv.) I have that may be of benefit - make sure you tell your doctor straight away if you get any soreness in your chest or difficulty breathing/chest wheezyness later on. I had a bad cold when I was around 7mths gone with DD and I developed pleuressy as a complication (which started as a chest wheezing and then later sharp pains in the top of the ribs on one side). I left it and thought it would get better and that they wouldn't be able to give me anything for it. Eventually I was in such crippling pain and virtually unable to breath that I ended up quite poorly in hospital. The pain was horrible and I thought I was going to die when all I needed to have done was go the doctors and get help (and antibiotics).
Nicki - hugs :grouphug: I hope it flies by for you.
Got my last day in work today!!! :j My little girl is so excited that I'll be picking her up from school tomorrow! She was jumping up and down as she has been counting the sleeps bless her
Not looking forward to actually going in to work though as I hate last days and seeing as I've been told fairly coldly that nothing will be done to mark the occasion then they won't mind if I don't bring in the cream cakes they were asking for yesterday! I hope no ones horrid to me as no doubt I'll be wafting away tears by the end of it!
Anyway this is getting rather lenthy and has took me so long that Skinty will have already given birth by the time I press submit!0 -

No Chick they dont do a base at all you have to manually fix the car seat in each time you use it with the seat belt it no biggy and takes about 2 minutes once you have had a practise or two. The bases are just a convinience thing unless you have isofix in your car and i have been told by numerous people that unless you have isofix the bases are not that safe anyway but again that would come down to personal choice/opinion so chose to go for the hauck anyway :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
OOo, good luck Skinty!! Sorry, I made that statement about you not logging on and then got wrapped up in work so didn't see that you posted straight after me! Glad your OH stayed home with you, though. Also - I've never heard of calcium for pain relief??

such a shame about your work place, Meant to say earlier i nearly cleared the bus i was on going to work oh called to see how i was feeling. However as he called felt the need to cough !!! then saying to him "i feel a bit better but am going to take it easy" promted the man next to me to move seats and the looks i got.Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j0 -
I am almost convincing myself i have swine flu now. i had a really bad sore throat and cough all last week but today i really have an upset tummy Ive had to run off to the loo twice in pain. I feel fine in myself so must stop being paraniod it's hard when it's every where. My friend just popped around to say that only a handful of kids are at pre-school the manager rang the authorities who say they can't close other wise they will loose there funding.
I am a bit confussedjust had a letter with an apt to go to the obstetric anaesthetic clinic Why
I just rang and the lady said she can't tell me why she doesn't know but that i have to go. I explained that no one had mentioned this to me and i was just a little confussed as to why i needed the apt and it is a bit early i will only be 20 wks
