  • Hi girls - for the girls with spots and PCOS have you tried Diannette - it helped with my spots. I still get the odd one but not too many now I am in my 30s. My main problem with my skin now is sometimes I get eczema - lips, eyes and ears mainly. Given the choice I would go back to spots which can be covered up. Anyway hopefully by the spring my lips and ears will have calmed down but knowing my luck I will have both on my wedding day !!
    :o

Thanks jj - tried Dianette about 5 years ago and it made me depressed, also tried mycrogynon and that gave me permenent PMT! But thanks for the suggestion. Have you tried Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream for dry skin/eczema? It really works for mine (unless it's really bad and I use hydrocortisone) a bit pricy but it lasts ages (maybe ask for some for Christmas) the only thing I find is it makes my face shine, so I put it on when I'm staying in the house or overnight!

  • I also tried the pill - every kind literally - was great for my skin but not my libido or my general outlook on life IYKWIM... I had a hysterical crying fit once because I ran out of frozen broccoli whilst cooking Sunday dinner. Jooles fingers crossed for you treatment, really do hope it helps. I'm gonna go back to the acupuncturist from Jan (getting a bit of a pay rise woop woop!) so hopefully I'll be sorted out by July.
Also jj 8 hour cream is amazing, you could also try jojoba oil - although it's an actual oil(!) it's non-comedogenic, so very good for dry skin without causing a break out. I suffer terribly from dry skin when I'm putting spot cream on my spots, so will put jojoba oil on after to combat dryness. It's very soothing - I also use it in my hair as it's so light x
  • Hi sorry havent been on the wedding forum for a few days. I do use the 8 hour cream and the stick, hydrocortisone cream - sparingly - and the fungal cream recommended by the doctor. Its not too bad only my lips and right ear at the moment.
Will try the jojoba oil as its natural too. Hope you can sort out your spots. I still get some but not many mostly around time of month !! Will probably get everything in time for the wedding !! I found chinese medicine can help with skin problems. Good luck

We got married 17th April 2010 !! A wonderful day with my wonderful husband !! :T
