I've just been doing my normal cleansing and moisturising routine with Liz Earle products. Then the day before the wedding I am having:
    • Hair extensions checked over to make sure they're still sitting nicely
    • Putting wayward hair extensions that have fallen out over the past couple of weeks back in
    • Roots done
    • Fringe trimmed
    • Hair washed
    • Manicure - French polish
    • Pedicure - French polish
    • Brazilian wax
    • upper lip and chin wax. I'm no bearded lady but best to be on the safe side :o
Oh, and I must book in an appointment to get a clean and polish at the dentists :)

  • Does anyone recommend hair extensions? I don't mean the clip in type, I mean the pre glued type.

I have short hair and fancy having some put in to create a style whilst my own hair is growing out.
  • I thought I was quite low maintenance, but looking back at my wedding preparation, maybe not!
    • I had highlights a few months before to check I liked them and then again a week before the wedding.
    • A hair trial a week before and my hair done on the day.
    • A make up trial and then makeup on the day - with mineral makeup.
    • A course of three body wraps over the month before - much easier than diets! :rotfl:
    • Eyebrow wax
    • I have long nails anyway but wanted a frenchpolish on the day. Went to a local salon, but what a disaster! Came straight home, took it all off and got my sister to do a much better job. I won't be going back there again!
    • After visiting all these salon's, I shaved my own legs!
Have to keep up the highlights ever since

I'll be having a hair and make up trial a couple of months before the day.

I want some highlights putting in my hair.

Nails - I want falsies. Gel or acrylic, I don't know, never had them done before!

I'll have my eyebrows waxed (or plucked properly on the morning if the make up lady can do it)

And of course my hair and make up on the day.

Don't want a spray tan/false tan etc, but we're on holiday for a fortnight a couple of months before the wedding so I might have a few sunshowers to top my colour up.

    Ooooh I'm liking this thread.
Thank you so much about the sharing the Aloe Vera Gel tip I will pick some of that up. Well my wedding is in December so far I've
    1. Got a virgin vie party next weekend will go through my colours for the day etc.
    2. My hairdresser is coming on the same day as party for my hair trial
    3. Have booked to have my nails, waxing, lashes etc done night before the wedding.
    4. Virgin Vie rep and hairdresser will be coming to house on the day

Some good advice on here about facials and body wraps, I think I'll book in for a facial next week, I've never had one before, my skin is combination and I get the odd break-out of spots, if anyone has anymore hints and tips of what we need to be doing on the weeks leading up to the big day please share!!!
    :xmassmile Looking forward to December:xmassmile

Well I just got my eyebrows waxed a few hours ago I told her to NOT take to much off leave them quite natural with a nice shape OMG MY FACE IS BALD!!!:eek:! my once luscious untamed eyebrows are gone there are 2 tiny wee lines, how is that f,in natural sorry I'm still in shock, or maybe I just look like I am cos I've no bloomin eyebrows
Hopefully in a day or 2 I'll get used to them & everything will be ok. My mate has persuaded me to go back to trial a tan next wk I'm so not sure.
It's a lady who works from home (undercover eyebrow thief!).

Oh dear, Violetta you are funny :rotfl:

Shell do it the day before else you may be left red and sore or even worse with a scab on your big day

That's true! It doesn't go red when I pluck them, but I don't want a big scab!!:rotfl:

  • I'll be doing the usual hair cut/colour, false nails, eyebrow wax, pedicure, etc. I won't be having a spray tan as I had one done about 5 years ago (St Tropez done in a salon costing £30) and I looked like an Oompah Lumpa, ie. very orange! My friend is doing my make up and is itching to start doing some trials but I'm not getting married for 5 months yet, lol.
Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.
