Well I just got my eyebrows waxed a few hours ago I told her to NOT take to much off leave them quite natural with a nice shape OMG MY FACE IS BALD!!!:eek:! my once luscious untamed eyebrows are gone there are 2 tiny wee lines, how is that f,in natural sorry I'm still in shock, or maybe I just look like I am cos I've no bloomin eyebrows
Hopefully in a day or 2 I'll get used to them & everything will be ok. My mate has persuaded me to go back to trial a tan next wk I'm so not sure.
It's a lady who works from home (undercover eyebrow thief!).Booo!!!0 -
            (undercover eyebrow thief!).
Sorry - but that made me laugh...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
All I got done before my wedding was nail tip extensions, and they were done by my hubby's cousin, who has trained as a beautician.
Aside from that, I gave myself a exfoliating facial the day before, and got busy with a can of veet (lol)
I didn't bother with fake tan etc - I've been pale all my life so didn't see the point of faking it just for my weddig day:rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Sorry I'm still in shock. Don't think I'll bother with the tan either like you Louise I'm celtic , we are supposed to be pale ( I have a theory it's so we glow in the in the dark & we can find each on long dark winter nights and erm continue the celtic race iyswim).
A friend has offered to do my nails, I'm trying to pamper my skin, I despair of finding a foundation to make my skin look reasonable. So I'm not sure what to do re makeup.
But a friend recomended a hairdresser who works from home I've been to her twice now & she is brill/lovely. Going to her on Friday for my hair trial & she is coming to our house on the morning of my big day. She loves doing long hair & bridal hair, she has been a real find.Booo!!!0 -
if you suffer from oily skin DO NOT have a facial as it will bring out spots and make your skin even worse!0

:rolleyes2 sob sob, she gave me a facial just before ripping all but 10 eyebrow hairs off!!!
Then told me to stick toothpaste on a spot I have.:oBooo!!!0 -
            Eeek, that doesn't sound good!
I was gonna have my brows done, but just got the tweezers out a few days before. Did my own nails, well trimmed and filed them a bit (chipped and then chewed my thumb nail off a couple of days before so had one really short nail, bum). Had been trying to keep to some sort of skin care routine for the months before but was a bit rubbish so just slapped loads of moisturiser on for the 24 hours before the wedding and it did help my really dry skin. Did my make up myself. Really good tip - take the mirror and do it outside. I found that it looked so much better as I could really see in daylight how it would be and my sis managed for the one and only time to put powder on me without it going bitty (I love her soo much for this but all she did was just fluff it on, no real technique).
The only thing I did splash on was hair. I have a really funny shaped head which is too small for my body (I'm a tall, broad shouldered girl) and really thin fine hair. I had a hair trial, hair cut, wash and blow dry and further trial, hair extensions and hair on the day. Cost me overall around £140."I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0 -
I'm faking it with the nails and doing my own make up.
Going to go and get my legs and bikini wax, an eyebrow shape (not wax!) and a luxury pedicure on Sataurday and getting fake tan on monday.
Getting my hair done on the day by my friend who always does my hair.0 -
