Uniross charger with 4AA and 4AAA batteries - £11.99 free P&P

Right, I've also spoken to Mill this morning. She was calm, cool and collected in promising me the 700mA AAA pack of batteries to be sent by tomorrow at the latest. It sounds like those of us who ordered the battery charger BEFORE the offer was changed will receive the AAA's only if we ring and ask (the phones ringing in the background wasn't all you other MSE peoploids, was it? :shocked: ).

It's a bummer that the change in order wasn't ok'd by us first but I've got to say that if Mill at Directfoto comes through with the AAA's as promised, I'm inclined to be impressed. Not only was she pleasant to talk to but she was actually there to talk to in the first place! :eek: How many times have we experienced nil contact with other sites when problems occur?

Will update posting if/when AAA's arrive. I hope I'm not counting my chickens before they hatch... :undecided

I got mine in the post over the weekend! Yey!

I also had the same problem as some of you here in that I got:
- the charger came in this mornings post, ya!
- the charger came with 4 x AA batteries rated at 2300 mA.
- the charger came with a 'C' and 'D' type battery converters for the AA's

Yep, I was missing the AAA batteries too.

I called DFoto this morning and must have spoken to the same lady cos she was very nice and well spoken and immediately asked for my postcode ands said she'd send out the missing batteries.

Well, as Nix said above, 'Mill' was lovely and even though those 'C' and 'D' convertors were supposed to be included instead of the AAA's they are sending them out anyway.
She said they had had loads of calls about them being missing. I was just sympathetic with her as it sounds like she's had a proper Monday morning!

With any luck she'll send them out the all the nice poeple who'd phoned.

I also had the very nice Mill assure me that some AAAs will be on the way. She's worth her weight in gold to that company, since the way in which the order was otherwise handled was appalling. Directfoto must be a small company, which means mistakes will occur (I've made some cracking mistakes on behalf of my company :eek: ), but if you can't be professional all the time you at least have to make sure your customers know that you regret any inconvenience you've caused them.

Sitting on the order for a week with no communications whatsoever despite an emailed query, and then chucking a few C / D converters (Hate to say it, but I cannot think of any practical use for these whatsoever, let alone a photographic use!) into a jiffy bag with a crumpled dispatch note detailing items that haven't been dispatched, and an order detail gushing about how the 'order was dispatched within 48 hours of receipt' (more like 240) has about as much of a personal touch as if they'd addressed the package to 'Order XYZ698, Flat 101...'

As a matter of note, those 'C' & 'D' convertors sell for approx £1.99 each.

Its been 8 working days since I ordered mine and its still not arrived. I'm probably not going to get the AAA's either.

Vegeta - don't forget they've got a problem with the postal system and it's taking up to 2 weeks for delivery, should be any time now!

mine arrived today after being ordered 2nd may with both the AA and AA batteries.....just in time for me hols.....
