Well I think there are three of us with spare grains advertising on the forum at the moment.

Come and join in. Lots of info on kefir and its a place to add ideas, search for answers so there's probably something there for you?

Has anyone tried the fruit juice ones? The kefir d'uva grain for grape juice. I wondered if these tasted better than the milk one.

    Thanks

I am now also part of the yahoo group - thank you very much Leonie!

I have found references about using them with soya milk, can't wait to start experimenting, someone on this forum very kindly offered me some grains and will give them to me at the OS meet (THANK YOU!!!!).

Woo hoo some are being sent out to me today apparently so I should have them soon.

So have I got this straight: I put them in a glass of milk for 24 hours? And throw away the first couple of lots?

Not sure about a warm place as my flat isn't all that warm apart from the kitchen when I'm cooking...it gets quite warm on top of the telly when I'm slobbed out in front of that in the evenings, maybe they should live there as a rather bizarre ornament?!!
  • I have just become a new member of the Yahaoo group too (v pleased.) But is it just me or is that site very confusing for everyone else 2??

I had a quick look at the site and found it a tad confusing too - but maybe that's just me and I didn't have a lot of time. We are spoiled on here though, aren't we? :D

When I do get more time, I will look at it properly and probably join too.
