Angelina-M wrote: »Hi guys. I'm the original poster (Leonie) but as some of you may know I had to change my name due to bereavement and it was unbearable to type the name. It is my daughters name and we lost her to cancer.
So i'm here asking does anyone have any kefir grains they could gift back to me please? I stopped taking it quite a while back but i'm fed up of feeling tired so I thought I would give it another go.
I shared my grains on here and it would be lovely to get some back here rather than buying from ebay as it would be a bit more spiritual as I could be getting my own kefirs descendants back if you see what I mean.
Of course I would pay for postage etc. Please let me know if you can help. Thanks guys.
I have some you can have, I use organic whole milk. PM me your address if you'd like them and I'll get them in the post for you tomorrow.0 -

Thank you thats so kind of you. I really wanted to get them from here because this is where I posted about them first, I was so excited and used them for a very long time. I used to make it up with Nesquick for the kids because they hated the taste of kefir.
I did put some in the freezer but I think they got thrown out some time ago. I shall pm you now, thank you.0 -

Thank you so much. Lovely Superpup is sending me some grains. They won't have originated from my ones but they will soon belong to me once they get used to their new home. Hopefully I can then start passing some on again.
They are useful and I don't know why I stopped drinking kefir, but I'm feeling tired and washed out at the moment so i'm hoping they will help heal me a little.
Thank you0 -

Oooh I'm very excited. I told my hubby we were going to have kefir again and he screwed his face up... how rude!!
I am making yogurt again and I think I will add some kefir to my morning yoghurt for a power boost!0 -

Lol, my OH refuses to even smell it but he's had smoothies made from it. I just tell him I've made his with milk. He happily eats pancakes made with it though. It makes the best pancakes ever!0 -

Oh and what about the bread and pizza dough? I used to get the flour ready in the morning for the dough and add kefir but no yeast. then add the rest of the ingredients when it was time to actually prepare it. It gives it such a beautiful almost aged like sour dough taste. I know what i'm baking this weekend!!0
