No its nasty! Lol its not that bad but its just not to my taste. I have a really sweet tooth and I have to add crusha and milk to it.

It wont put me off drinking it though, its good stuff!

    Leonie,
If you've got a sweet tooth, have you tried a good spoonful of runny honey stirred into it. I strain mine then add the honey and its really nice then. I think straining it takes that 'sharpness' out of it.

    Sounds lovely Ted!
I use honey in my kefir when I drink it too - I actually enjoy that. I think the problem with swallowing the 'blob' was caused by me thinking about it - I probably swallowed a load of air with it. I still feel ok, so I guess it's safe ;)
I did prefer the keifir when the weather was a bit cooler. It seems a little more 'tangy' at the moment. If anyone is passing my way and fancies a drink of keifir I currently have about 12 pints of it made and another 4 on the go...... I think I'd best hurry up and read up about the best way to freeze grains!!!

i c ouldnt imagine eating a big blob but the little ones that go thru my colander are barely noticeable

when mine get big i gently ease them apart, if they dont want to seperate i leave them til they do

kaz i froze some grains in a plastic pot with a tiny bit of milk to cover them, they recomment milk powder but i didnt want to use that... i have not got them out to check they are ok yet but have heard other people are successful like that

gawd 12pts!!!!! u need to spread the word AND the grains lol

    xx

I'd be interested in finding out about kefir cheese too.
I froze some with some pureed fruit the other day - would it still have some of the qualities when eaten this way? Does anyone know?

I have a glass a day, with some apple cordial and blackberry cordial it makes it taste lovely, and I dont even like milk! I have been drinking it for months and since then my high blood pressure has lowered a lot and I dont need my tablets anymore. (dont anyone take that as medical advice btw!) I find it calms me down too when I get back from a busy day at work.
November £10 a day challenge. Im starting early- 66p so far!
