Hi, just unlurking to say that I emigrated to Aus 4 years ago (live in Adelaide). If there is anything you would like to know then please feel free to ask, although you sound very organised!

The Good Guys is a good place to replace all your white goods, they have a website if you want to get an idea of prices.

    Good luck with the move.

    Hey,

Thanks for delurking - I still plan to check in from Oz too! I'm going to assume you've never looked back?!

Off to take a look at the Good Guys:D.

I know we were very surprised when people started mentioning given us dollars - surprised but pleased I should say:D.

I always find Next cushions sell really well on eBay:j:j.

Of course, mine hasn't been paid yet!

Sure can - the only reason we knew we might be getting gifts of dollars was a few asked what the currency was. Turns out they are generous but not that bright - you can't have everything:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

    Right - plans for today.:money:

    1. Have leftover bits from Hobbycraft unused - will google their return policy and see if I can get a refund. If I can will go and sort that today.

    2. Reserved these spacesaving bags from Argos to be paid with my Nectar points - will go and collect these.:j

    3. Nice lady coming at 11am for a selection of small kitchen appliances sold on Gumtree - £15 :D.

    4. Some debt busting letters to remaining creditors

    5. Phone Scott & Co and find out balance of council tax arrears

    6. Pay cash from party into the bank

    7. Sister in Law's Mother coming down this afternoon so I can do a complaint letter for her.

    8. More packing!

    9. Get listing the last push of Gumtree and Ebay.

    10. Post office to send eBay sales off.

    11. Buy "With Sympathy" card for my neighbour who lost her Mum at the weekend.

Was hoping for a NSD, and still might manage it if I get a refund from Hobbycraft ;). It might not be within the strit rules of NSD, but I reckon getting a refund and spending that to cover the little costs I have should still pass for NSD.

Eventually got started on the list - bad news on Scott & Co - had hoped it was less than this. Never mind, there is a payment plan in place and it's not one to worry about.:A
