I think the Glasgow Fair is just a local holiday, so national institutions like bank and PO should still be open.
We got our business mail as usual, so this should be right enough. Hope so, cos I want to use the Recorded Delivery book today at work and not have to traipse to the PO to send my ebay package!
When I lived in Scarborough as a kid, they called this 'Scots Fortnight'. Some people left town for this! :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Just popping in for 10 minutes, listing some bits and bobs on Gumtree in between tidying up. Back garden grass has been cut and a little weeding done before the rain came on. Just the front garden which resembles a meadow now!
Back to the grind - back soon xxLBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

A few bits and bobs still to put on Gumtree etc, but a few bits have found their way to be listed:p. Feeling a bit lazy now.
Back garden is done in patches, front garden remains knee high. Hubby keeps taking breaks to sit on his @rse and read the bloody paper. Raging.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Running round to the Post Office with a few bits and to get something for the dinner tonight as I forgot to defrost something and needed baby potatoes etc.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Finished the tidying up, poured a large glass of Sauvignon Blanc
.
Nice lady coming tonight to collect the Davina McCall step for £10. Had a few more emails about the bits and bobs I listed on Gumtree this afternoon. Would like to do a bit more listing tonight - let's see how well the wine is received first.
To be fair to Alan, he did eventually get off his butt and do a bit more - love him really.:kisses:LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Got an email from Oz this morning, no days off for me when I arrive. We land on the Saturday, I start work on the Monday:eek:.
Better sleep on the flight. If you're a fan of M&S undies hope you're stocking up before you go. My friend's sister living in Oz keeps giving people undie shopping lists when they go over!

Hi, just unlurking to say that I emigrated to Aus 4 years ago (live in Adelaide). If there is anything you would like to know then please feel free to ask, although you sound very organised!
