I know it is a bit late to be saying this, but I feel a little sad that you are selling so much of your stuff off. You do understand that it will cost more to replace those things in Aus? Like the DSi? It was cheaper for me to buy one on ebay in UK with games, and get it posted here, than to buy one this side of the world. And that was looking at ebay.au as well.
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Still have more to sell, but to be honest I'm just about to go and cuddle in on the corner sofa with my hubby and my son, to watch the Million Pound Drop before bed.

I enjoyed M£D tonight, so wanted last pair to win though. Gutted for them and thought they'd picked the right answer.

Sounds like you had a cracking day yesterday (apart from the hangover) hope you enjoyed your cosy evening with the boys.

I know the camera was an extravagence :j but just think of all the lovely photos you will be able to take in Oz to show the family back in the UK. I am the queen of justification, i can always find a reason, just ask my OH :rotfl:

I am trying to avoid checking Ebay every 10 seconds as my items end in 3 hours or so....come on people get bidding on my unwanted tat!! I know you know what i mean :p

Hope you have lots of enquries on your ebay/gumtree stuff

    x

P.S I mainly start my stuff at 99p too, better a quid in my pocket than cluttering up my house and collecting dust
  • Sounds like a lovely night and a productive listing session too. You've more than earned your relaxation :)

I'm selling my Canon EOS350D SLR soon but probably not before you go away as I'm hoping to upgrade my iPhone soon and the camera on that will get used more than my SLR anyway.

What camera did you get? I was so excited when I first got mine that I was out every weekend taking photos, but gradually I got tired of lugging it all over the place! Mostly use my phone now but it's only a 2nd gen iPhone, so 3MP and a bit rubbish. New one is supposed to be so much better and will be enough camera for my needs for now, since we're not expecting much in the way of holidays for the next 5 years and three months ;) and I've pretty much taken every photo of my local area that I need when I first got my SLR :)

You can only have so many photos of the sunset with Ben Lomond in the distance :rotfl:

I have been quietly following you for some time (normally on my morning commute) and just wanted to say huge congrats on your move to Australia and also all your selling on Ebay and GUmtree.

Hope you have had a lovely relaxing time tonight, take care

    NRA x

Thanks NRA, both for the well wishes, and for the time you have probably spent following my selling escapades xx J

    Hi Chev,

Apart from the furniture (which we don't think would suit the size of Aussie rooms anyway!), all the stuff we are selling is stuff we are finished with, not all stuff we plan to replace in Australia.

For instance, the DSi hasn't been played with for over a year. It's been made redundant since the arrival of the ipad in our house:D.

    Thanks Granny, Pinot and Princess:j

Yes I had a lovely day lazing about. Have been emptying black bags of rubbish out of the house most of the day. Also hubby and I valeted the car and photographed that, so it is now on Gumtree for sale :D.

Most of the furniture is now listed on Gumtree, as well as a few diamond finds which turned up around the house.

Have a lovely big pile of stuff to ebay, but planning on taking the evening off to enjoy another night on the sofa with hubby. Tomorrow, when he is at work, and Cole is out playing I will recommence the eBaying with a fury! MARK MY WORDS!

Have advertised Cole's hamster on Gumtree, free to a good home, and selling his cage and all his accessories, food etc for £10. A lovely lady is coming to collect it tomorrow for £10 ;).

My iphone 4S is very good at taking photos when out and about, but I really wanted an SLR to take our "memories" pictures as we start a new life.

I bought a Nikon 12MP SLR, and I'm really excited about the day it comes:D. But, just a little ashamed I've had such a splurge:o.

Sold my North Face bodywarmer to my neighbour for £50 cash:T.

Ohh... congrats on the bodywarmer sale! :T

I made a staggering total of £39 on my ebay listings. No mad flurry at auction closing, but that's because I listed them at/after midnight, so people probably didn't want to hang around and wait for them finishing. Got £18 for an apple power adapter for a laptop we haven't even had for the last 6 years! £6 for my wee canon camera that I thought would go for more. :(

And the 4 prs of BNWT M&S Knickers (that cost me £6 new) went for £7.50!! :rotfl:

Haven't got any more listed at the moment but will spend this week packaging and sending this lot and taking more photos and then list at a reasonable hour on Thursday night for 10 days and watch the cash flood in :D
