Just waiting until 2.15am when the online banking realises its Thursday, and my bank money arrives:D. Just one nightshift due for payment today I think. Planning on transferring the whole amount to the Aussie pot.
Also hubby's salary is around £440 on Friday and at least half of that can be transferred over too.
The ebay should be starting to dribble into the account by the beginning of next week too. It's so frustrating having to wait for it to be transferred:mad:.
Have £170 sitting in Paypal at the moment, this damn clearing period because I had to re-register:mad::mad:.
Also have around £100 still due in payment:j.
It's been rather successful eBay now that I've got my head into it! I have one last lot of clothing to get listed so I can post it before I leave London, but its stuff that needs ironed before being photographed, so I've been putting it off:o.
I really have to get my head down and do one last push (pardon the pun for those of you who know what my job is:cool:), and just get it all listed. Still have the car boot sale to get organised, and furniture etc to stick on Gumtree:j.
Haven't even really scratched the surface of the clothes at home in Glasgow!
Running out of time, but can't afford to run out of steam. Still have to get the car looking immaculate, get that photographed and try my luck on Gumtree before having to pay for Autotrader advertising.
Not only that, but hubby is also doing a little extra job for someone which is netting us £150 on Tuesday, this is also heading for the savings. Oh yeah, and remember the work he did for his friend when he was unemployed? Well, £500 of that cash is going in our bank account Friday. All of it will promptly be transferred to the Aussie pot:D.
I think we are doing really well, but I'm conscious that we might be heading to the other side of the world with nothing more than £10k cash to our names:eek:. Thankfully I don't have the time to worry about it:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Bad news though - hubby thinks he ight be paid off again after next week as the work is running done again. The job he was taken back on to complete finishes then
.
He is hoping his friend might have enough work to tide him over until we go though - fingers crossed. Never mind, I'll be home - meal planning, cooking from the freezer and cupboards, NSDs galore and all sorts of other frugality!LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Hope that it works out with your husbands job.
I sold my car on eBay a few months ago, not as an auction, you can do a classified ad. It was a Nissan Qashqai, I got over 7k for it so it's not just old bangers on there. It sold within 5 days and it cost £15 to do which I think is cheaper than Autotrader.0 -

Thanks:D.
I have tried selling a couple of cars on eBay before (a Mercedes and my hubby's van for work), but never got anywhere near what I wanted, and ended up selling them on Autotrader for a good bit more. This time I am going to try Gumtree as I know a few people who have had success with this, and best of all its free:j.
Its a top of the range Honda Civic (new shape) so suggesting a price of £6k, as the closest similar I can find in Scotland - cheapest is £6.5k.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

OMG can you imagine they had organised something?!
Trying really hard with the saving - NSD today (strictly speaking yesterday now). All with the exception of postage for my ebay sales, but as I paid that out of my sales money I don't strictly think of it as spending cash. Not quite sure if that's a cop out?!:A
I'm sneaking in under cover of darkness in case you sell me :rotfl:
Just wanted to say I'm pretty sure they'd understand if they knew what you were doing and I'm pretty sure they'd do it themselves in the circumstances.
If they have organised something, once you've gone off sick, they can always cancel it.
I would count my NSDs that way too.
Good luck with selling the car - you truly are an inspiration.
Bad luck about OH job but at least he'll be around to help with your final few weeks before the big move and I'm pretty sure something will come up, you are such a determined young lady x
PS don't worry about the emigrating with the low level of funds btw. My DD did it with no funds, just bank of mum which was running pretty dry, and no job or place to live. You have got all three sorted, you will be fine. x
Enjoy your last few days in London

Thanks Gx2,
I suspect you are trying to make me feel better - thank you.
I think we will manage in Oz, I just realise that most people will have sold their homes and being taking some equity with them. Not us - we like to live on the edge!:rotfl::rotfl:
Going for a little secret lunch with my besties from London tomorrow, will keep in touch with the others (only the ones I like of course;)). I reckon you are right - they would do the same.
Hubby better not think he is helping me in the last few weeks - he will get work, should I have to auction him:D.
I have plans for my time at home - too many of them! And sadly few of them require socialising. Lots to organise. Just transferred half of hubby's weekly wages to the savings, and he has £500 to pay in cash tomorrow. I am indeed on a mission.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Last little bank nighshift of the week (until 21st that is
).
Took some photos of the second last eBay batch before I came to work. Going to list them in the morning before bed:money:. Don't have to get up until 3.45pmish as I'm going to my friends house first for a glass of champagne to toast my last social event in London with my girlies. Then her lovely boyfriend is driving us into Beaconsfield.
After that, just one last bag to ebay. This is the dreaded bag which all requires ironing. But of course, I have a plan.
Saturday I am likely to have a hangover, so will sleep quite late. Then I'm nightshift that night. Saturday afternoon I have someone coming to give me £15 for a powerbag exercise thingey I have listed on Gumtree. I will iron and list the remaining troublesome bag on eBay, then list my ironing board and iron on Gumtree!:p
Some little student will surely have it? Also will list my little TV and freeview box on Gumtree, and finally my full length mirror. I will not need such wordly possessions for my last week in London town.;)LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Well, time for a quick update before I head into nightshift mode for 6 nights (2 of which are bank
).
Had a lovely night last night, although I did spend £60.
Never mind, its not something I will have the chance to do again and I had a lovely time.
Should be a low spend week as I'm constantly nights! Have bits and bobs in the freezer I can turn into a weeks worth of meals. Will just have to buy some fruit, diet coke from the pound shop, spinach, a red onion and ryvita. I have £12 on my Nectar card so I think I will redeem this at Sainsburys and hope it covers my shopping:T.
Have just accepted a nightshift bank on Labour Ward Wednesday night:money:. Had plans with my lovely Consultant friend, but the chance to bank another £200 is just too much to resist. Will have to cancel our plans and perhaps see if we could squeeze in dinner next Friday?:o
Haven't yet listed the TV or the ironing board on Gumtree - that's a job for the morning before bed I think. Also have a full length mirror I'm going to stick on Gumtree. Have packed up most of my belongings, and getting excited about going home forever.:j:j:j:j
Have emailed the guy about the powerbag, to see if he can collect tomorrow. Hope he doesn't let me down!!! If he doesn't collect it tomorrow, its getting ebayed.
Talking of eBay, bizarrely its telling me I've reached my limit for listing 5 fashion brands, and can't list more for 30 days:mad:. I haven't listed 5 I've listed 50 !!!!!!?!:mad::mad::mad::mad: How come they are limiting it now?! Phoned them but they aren't lifting the limit, never mind, it will save me ironing until I get home!
Another lot of ebay finishing tomorrow evening, so let the posting begin AGAIN!:p
My tenant has signed her tenancy agreement and moves in 3rd August, so all is going well at that end. She has changed her mind about the Christmas tree, so it will be Gumtree'd again, or perhaps closer to the time. My neighbour is quite happy to hang on to a couple of bits and bobs which I can Gumtree from Oz and have collected from her house:D. Also have a men's Barbour Jacket and my North Face bodywarmer, which would be more sensible to eBay closer to Autumn/Winter time so will do a similar plan.
Also, my hubby opened the mail this morning, my medical results were all sent to Australia today and it looks like I'm in good health:A. Will now have to hurry hurry AHPRA, once my registration is complete my Visa will be issued. Just as well - only 46 days to go:eek:.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Spending the gaps in nightshift writing lists upon lists! Bizarrely enough, although the email from eBay says they can't lift the limit, it has let me carry on listing?!:p
Have now listed another little handful. Looks like I am ironing tomorrow then:eek:.
Plans for this morning when I get in include ebaying the fitness stuff which hasn't shifted on Gumtree, gumtree ads for the ironing board/iron and TV/freeview box.
Oh yeah and ironing the stuff still left to sell:D.
